Good Lord!

YOu have NEVER and YOU KNOW IT.

You "What crime?" schtick? You've never whooped anyone with that:2rofll:

Your posts show you to be less of a man than Trump, and that's not a man at all!

:2rofll:

Hmm. Maybe the sore is worse than I thought. Perhaps some baby powder will do the trick.

You know you're a hyper partisan when your side does something, the other side responds in kind and you still blame the whole thing on the other side.

Brilliant!!

If Trump and Pelosi want to have a pissing match by cancelling a plane trip or cancelling a speech , so be it. Who gives a damn anymore.

But when Trump did the stunt of shutting down innocent Federal workers including the Coast Guard then he becomes an enemy of the people of the US.

The GOP gets blamed for every shutdown and whadda you know, theyre still here. Why dont you be honest for once and admit the party that is truly loving this shutdown is the dems. You dont care who it hurts or how long it lasts because you think you are going to derive some political benefit from it. The uncompromising position of the left is unsustainable. This will be resolved by compromise whether the Resistance likes it or not.
We didn't ask for this shutdown fight, your boy did, plain and simple.

You can twist the facts all you want, but the reality is Trump openly boasted "I will shut the government down and take the mantle!" right in front the press, like the dumbass he can't help but be.

Again, if Trump cares about this, why hasn't he offered the Dems immigration reform in return? And why was he ready to sign a CR that didn't have his $5.6 billion?

He doesn't give a **** about this, get that through your head. Trump is simply doing what he's done in media for years, putting on a show, and trying to fake it until he makes it.

She hasn't yet. If she does, it will be the pettiest, most disgraceful political act in modern history. Further, Trump will still give the SOTU.
Pelosi backed herself into a corner with this stunt.

Trump just can't help himself, he keeps shooting himself in the foot and he never learns, he'll keep doing it over and over.

That may all be true, but doesnt alter the fact that democrats will have to compromise. You can already tell by the way some dems are talking that its coming. I just want you to be prepared when that happens is all.

Is this idiot really suggesting that US lawmakers and the Speaker, who is second in the line of succession behind the Vice President, travel to a war zone via a commercial flight? What a ****ing moron!

This is the aspect of the story which is most alarming. Of course it puts Pelosi in an even more dangerous position by traveling to Afghanistan. Totally irresponsible of Trump

All Dems have to do is give Trump a measly $4 billion for border security. Until they do, they are just as responsible for the shutdown.

lolol

This is getting better and better. You really believe anyone would buy that nonsense?

who cares, it kept his smelly ass out of the House of Representative, that was the goal, it worked. Go Nancy!

Why is it petty to insist that the people charged with protecting Congress, POTUS and VP and the cabinet, Supreme Court Justices, Joint Chiefs, and others be paid for their work before an optional event like giving the SOTU before a live audience in the Capitol happens?

Nice straw man.

She did it out of spite and you know it. Hell there was an entire thread here on the subject where you guys on the left all congratulated her on denying Trump an audience. Now you want to switch and pretend her motives were pure. :lamo Please.

Since you're putting words in my mouth or on my keyboard, it would nice if you could quote me before calling me a hypocrite. Thanks in advance.

And you might not know this, but it's entirely possible to hold more than one opinion at one time, on the same SUBJECT, and have them all be true. Just for example, I support exercise for lots of reasons! Makes me feel better, improves my cholesterol, helps me maintain my only somewhat overweight status, and more!

I do not see any 'pettiness' in insisting that people we're asking to do extraordinary things, such as protect the upper echelons of the entire U.S. government, be paid for their work.

I also don't think it's petty for those depending on unpaid public servants to make their own much smaller sacrifices, such as not being able to give a speech before Congress on a particular day. Trump isn't entitled to an audience for his speech, and as long as we're shut down it seems appropriate not to engage in this totally optional exercise that frankly is put on primarily for his benefit. What's the harm to the citizenry if he gives it from the oval versus the House floor? I don't see any measurable harm.... Maybe this will exert pressure on Trump to find a compromise solution - that would be good for the country. Grounding Pelosi might do the same thing - if so I'm OK with that too.

Seriously? It was a total troll and I think you're smart enough to get that.

Yep that's about right. The letter was pure gold and all it takes is a calendar to prove it to be so.. If Pelosi and her congressional delegation were allowed to depart today they would be MIA through the next missed pay period of the 800,000 not receiving their checks.

I haven't stopped chuckling since I learned about this. Pelosi and the large congressional delegation was scheduled to leave at 3 p.m. Eastern time this afternoon. The letter was sent at 2:20 p.m. that stopped it . Some congress critters were already on the bus. They were last seen walking back into the building.

I sure would like to find out who the congress critters are that made up this large delegation. Were they all Democrats? Were they congress persons and Senators alike? Inquiring minds want to know.

:doh

Then what the **** are you defending these people for, when you know they're frauds playing your emotions?

You can already tell by the way some dems are talking that its coming
I haven't heard a peep outside of Manchin.

In fact Graham and others are (after floating the insane idea of Trump declaring a national emergency) are pushing for the WH to reopen the government, and fight for the wall once it's opened. Several other Republicans have stated this as well, but McConnell wants to keep playing politics and refuse even a vote.

I just want you to be prepared when that happens is all.
I don't need to be prepared, because it won't happen.

If Trump gets anything it will be scraps for additional fencing (not a wall as he promised), which he will pay a high price for.

Nice straw man.

It's not actually a straw man. Pelosi has essentially canceled the SOTU in the House chambers until government reopens and the many people tasked with providing security are paid. And having the entire government as audience is in fact optional.

lolol

This is getting better and better. You really believe anyone would buy that nonsense?

IF they believed it for even a minute, having DHS and SS assure her that security wasn't a concern should have prompted a retraction. Instead, Pelosi doubled down today. When asked, she explained *a* DHS employee contacted me and expressed concern. So, ONE anonymous person tells Pelosi she's concerned, and Pelosi tells Trump to postpone.
Who's buying that load of happy horse****?

You'd think they'd want Dems to step up and be the hero, and negotiate. They could give Trump some, but not all, funding and then go announce to the country that they made a deal with that meanie, Trump, and brought the government out of a historical shutdown.
Imagine the positive spin they could put on it.
Oh, wait. That would require caring about Americans and actually being in D.C. rolling up their sleeves and getting their toes out of the sand.

The point was that there was an entire thread here dedicated to liberals cheering Nancy on for sticking it to Trump. So its a bit late for the fall back position. This was about Pelosi sticking to it Trump and now Trump is sticking it to Pelosi. Its childish, but its where we are.

Please show me where Pelosi cancelled the SOTU.

Pelosi will go to any length, hurt any amount of Americans...

Nonsense, that is projection. This is what Trump does that on a daily basis. He said he owned the shutdown, and it's hurting a lot of Americans.

Well played Mr President!! Well played.

I'm glad Trump did this. We would have been none the wiser that Pelosi was leaving town and a deal to open the gov't before the next pay cycle was totally and completely OFF the table until she was an ocean away.
I'm VERY glad her moral turpitude and attempt at absconding has been revealed by Trump.

This could be resolved in an hour. Dems know walls work and there have been a number of them on TV the last few days saying just that. There will be a compromise and it wont come from Pelosi. It will likely come from a group of moderates in the senate and it will be impossible for either Trump or pelosi to resist.

3 hours ago, Nancy was opining how horrible it was that a Federal employee couldn't afford to treat her diabetes with insulin. Now, think about this...she knew the whole time that she would be leaving the country and there was ZERO chance that poor woman would get her next paycheck as scheduled. Pelosi's bags were packed and her trip held a secret.
That actually makes me sick and really angry.
Every American should be angry that Pelosi was *this close* to absconding and leaving 800,000 workers without pay, completely shutting down negotiations until she returned.
People can't wait that long!!
