In Venezuela, and Haiti, packs of 12/13 year old's, are the most feared gangs in both nations. It's why tourism is dead in those nations, and this was way before their socialism problems. Oh, and by the way, these gangs are not just boys, they are mixed on purpose because the element of girls puts the target on pause, long enough for these packs to steal everything you own. You think a pack of 20 or so 12/13 year old girls can't take out a man of his size? think again, try googling these little packs of angles in these 3rd world nations. I read just last year (I think there's even video of it) that a pack of 6 13/14 year old girls took out a man and his wife on a train.

There is strength in numbers, and it makes up for size easily. In fact during the Iraq war, soldiers were trained how to watch out for these little innocent gangs of young teenagers!

The "children" were in pack. They together are not helpless and can take down a grown man easily. It happens all the time in third world countries to tourists. I get why you would think that hitting that girl like he did was a bad thing, I truly do. I wouldn't want to be in that situation. But it served notice to the rest pack to back off because they would be hurt. Before you go on about how we dont live in the third world, and these girls are harmless. Here's a nugget or 2 from here in the US and abroad. But in response to the OP, it's kinda shocking. I can't say I would have taken that path. But I am wondering why a gang of kids was harassing a grown man outside of the mall. They are certainly not innocent in this. But still, probably not the best strategy on his part.

I lived in Africa for a couple years. Been there for months on other occasions. Not with an organization or group or anything. By myself, hooked up with an agricultural college and a village through a friend. I'm a pretty abrasive guy and I occasionally do stupid crap, got myself into a couple street fights there. Things went well enough. But I can tell ya, all the time I spent in Africa (and a little bit of South America, and some sketchy parts of Europe), I ain't never seen no one need to punch a little kid.

4.) not sure if thats true . . .i read that hearsay too and it could be true . . i dont have a problem with him being a white knight though . . but he gets no support from me from his unnecessary brutal assault on a 11 year old
5.) I still find it that way. While i get your point we are exposed to a lot nowadays its still disturbing that people this unhinged exist. When adults attack children and its based on pure sociopathic emotion thats still always shocking to me. It always will be.

Im not sure of that. There are limits. He may well have exceeded them. His force must be reasonable, most places.

He couldn't kill a baby in self defense, regardless of what that baby tried to do. Or somebody in a wheelchair without a projectile weapon.

It's comical seeing our liberal friends defend these packs of thugs when 5 seconds from now they'll be scratching those little five cent heads with those confused expressions on their faces wondering why children today are attacking teachers in schools, acting disrespectful to most adults and generally acting like packs of rabid animals.


Sure the guy went over the line(by a lot) but it's preposterous how few on the Left are holding these kids accountable at all. A complete free pass for their outrageous behavior.

The girl decided to go after the man. Sorry mistake by the girl.
Could of the man handled the situation better. Most likely.
Could the 11 year old behaved better, Most likely.

Bet she won't soon forget it is wise to chose your battles.
 
Preface this by saying nothing excuses him punching the girl...ever. That being said...why did it happen? Because a bunch of kids have been raised to believe they can do essentially whatever they want to whoever they want and there will no consequences. That 11 year old had zero expectation that that man would NOT just take her verbal abuse and physical confrontation. She expected she was going to be able to wade in and start swinging and he would take it because she is a kid and he is an adult and he cant do anything in response and WORLD STAR...and then...BOOOOM. Her world vision and perspective just changed. Now...was he right. NO. Should he have hit her...no. Should he face consequences? Absolutely. And I reckon in the future next time any adult walks up on a situation where teens are beating each others ass the adult should just walk away rather than risk becoming the new target.

Ive said it before and I'll say it again. Its all Jerry Springer's fault.
