You haven't answered the question. So what does "Kill enough of them and there'll be no more to retaliate" mean from a logistical perspective? How is this country going to achieve this goal if its current policy is removing itself from foreign entanglements?

Right. So after 17 years of the "war on terror" and no apparent end, you're proposing keeping troops in the region to keep fighting. You may want to send a memo to the current administration because they're pulling people out of the ME theater.

No, not at all. I'm proposing we wage total war on the islamists; go full WW2 on their asses. We'll have things wrapped up in less than 4 years. If we aren't going to do that, then yeah, GTFO.

I'm not advocating hugging it out, that's your own hyperbole, as if the only choices are irrational hatred or irrational affection. I'm not irrational like the conservatives are. If you guys want to murder them all or they you, I can't stop you. I think your position demonstrates a profoundly stupid and, often, naive point of view, though. Our violence will be no more productive than theirs, ultimately. It will just make monsters of all of us.

The irrational part is that you, like the Muslim extremists, are extreme. You both think you can murder your way out of your problem with the other. I know what I'm dealing with here, human weakness and the abandonment of intellectual resolutions by the frightened and those who feel entitled to their fantasies. I'm not foolish enough to think that violence is never the right call but I don't see it resolving this difference between magical thinkers. You can't fight an idea with munitions. That was our failure in Viet Nam as well as in the middle east. But, by all means, pretend whatever makes you feel better.

Where you're wrong, is we want to kill bad people who are causing harm in order to force their religion upon the globe.

The extremists should be treated no different than the Nazis during WW2.

I know the enemy. I understand Fundamentalist extremists. I understand the mindset it takes to be able to slowly chop of a persons head while chanting your praise to Allah. And I know there is one thing they understand. There is one way to deal with people like that.

But again...I WANT people like you to step up. I WANT people like to gather a force and go have nice visit with them. YOU show the way. I suspect your surviving family members will see things differently than you, assuming they give a **** about what happened to you.

The previous administration used to say stupid **** like you...right up until they had the responsibility of dealing with them. All their bull**** about drone strikes and killing terrorists went out the window once they were in charge. They stepped up the attacks. They had to. Because its how you deal with them.

We are only '****ed' if people like you ever get in charge of dealing with extremist terrorists.

If you think that forcing your religion upon the globe makes you bad, I agree, and you can start fighting the extremists in your own country and party. You don't have to travel outside the US to find them. Whether it's capitalism forcing its greed god upon the globe or American, Christian missionaries doing their extortion act in Asia, it's the same thing. Where you're wrong is thinking there's a difference between them.

It's not that we don't both agree that some people could die and make the world a better place, it's in the narrow focus of your disdain upon Islam. They are but one scourge upon this planet and killing them won't solve the underlying problem.

Obama, and every ****ing politician in this country, shamelessly panders to these sky worshiping idiots, even knowing as Obama must have that they are a threat to civil society itself. In case you haven't noticed, you can't get elected to high office if you don't proudly pretend to think Jesus was your savior. You also can't get elected if you don't pander to war culture, honoring "the troops" without reservation.

These two facts, our relative love of Jesus and war, exist in plain sight but nobody's smart enough to put the pieces together. We hear people say things like "god and country" and "there are no atheists in fox holes" without appreciating the subtext of that statement, which is "god and war and inseparable". So, in that sense, the Muslim extremists understand the human condition way better than the average American, who pretends there is no connection to their faith and their hate, in contradiction to the facts.

Go sell war to some moron who isn't smart enough to see though your paper thin paranoia to the seething hatred within. Take that argument to church and you'll have no shortage of agreement. I am satisfied to oppose both sides of this because, in reality, they wouldn't know reality if it bit them on their big, fat asses.

I hope somebody like me does, some day, get charged with dealing with religious extremism. The first thing I'd do is ask my fellow countrymen to question their own certainty. I'd be fired after five minutes because we are not a country that can handle the truth. We, like the Muslim asshats, prefer to pretend.
