Burgers by candlelight: Trump lays out fast food for college football champs

No, it isn't the ESPN headline. This is the ESPN headline:

White House serves fast food on silver platters for Clemson celebration

I just clicked the link again to confirm. You may want to click your link to see for yourself.

Yes. That's the headline on the story text. But the headline on the ESPN front page is as I copied and linked it. ESPN wrote that too. Go to the ESPN website and you'll see.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump laid out a White House feast fit for a government shutdown on Monday: silver platters heaped high with McDonald’s quarter pounders and the red-and-white burger wrappers of Wendy’s.

White House chefs normally would serve much fancier fare underneath the stern gaze of the portrait of Abraham Lincoln in the State Dining Room. But they are furloughed, staying home without paychecks as Trump fights with Congress over funding the federal government.
===============================================
Personally if I was a champion athlete invited to the WH for dinner, I wouldn't be looking forward to fast food.

SIAP. I didn't bother to read all the posts in this one. Why is the burgers feast so significant?

Is someone afraid some Clemson football player may die of a heart attack from too many BIG MACs?

When you post a link in Breaking News, you're supposed to provide the headline of the article.

Your linked article headline did not match what was in your hyperlink.

Nope. That's only for an OP in Breaking News. No rules for subsequent posts.
In any case, the headline (shown on ESPN under "Top Headlines") was provided.

Okay, my bad. You just wanted to post a dishonest headline because you could. Got it.

Yeah, where did he get the idea that college football players would gobble up fast food? Who would think that, LOL! But, good thing the left is here to tell us how horrible it was, otherwise we would never know.
Leftists are funny people, who are getting whackier and funnier with each passing day.

Some players "whooped" when they saw the spread, according a pool report.

White House offers Clemson Tigers fast food feast in championship celebration

As I said. Take it up with ESPN. They exercised the rights of a free press and their news judgment. If you object to that, feel free to let them know.

I will do that when ESPN shows up on this board and changes their own headline in a link they post.

Speaking about dishonest...

1) you either missed the post below, or

2) ignored it and posted your horse-**** above...

3) ...or... you have serious problems with reading comprehension.

Which is it?

I think it’s the one which positions you squarely as dishonest.

Check view page source on that ESPN article.
You will find that "Clemson players cheer fast food at White House" is used in several places to link to that particular article.

It's not the headline of the link. But why doesn't it surprise me that you don't understand that? You are just glad he ordered from McDonald's. It helps them stay solvent and you can continue your burger flipping job with them.

Their headline was posted unchanged.

My #198 shows the ESPN "Top Headlines" exactly as presented.

You're lying, Jack. Click on your link and show me where the top of that link says what you claim it does. It doesn't. Fact.

You apparently don't know many college football players.

I'd bet the vast majority of them were relieved to see a table full of only things they like to eat.

Yes, it is.

No it isn't. Stop lying. Any idiot can click your link and when it opens the link, the headline is not what you said it is.

You want to continue lying, go ahead. But lying you are. I told you what the link says when you open it. I even copied and pasted it for you.

This is a weird thing to make a story out of man, it could very well be the complete opposite as diets can be pretty strict, may be a decent opportunity to pig out and get away from the strict regimen.

Most of the defensive and offensive lineman I have known would have wept tears of joy at that spread. Most were probably worried that there wouldn't be enough food, or food that they like.

Jack explained it... you have comprehension problems?

McD’s is considered fine dining... quality food... in many former communist countries. It will be too in America if Leftists get control of the country for a long period.

Have you ever eaten horse meat? It’s great stuff. Gustavskorv... or smoked and sliced thin... mmmmmm. When I see a horse, I think of Gustavkorv, some mustard, rye bread and beer. Tasty stuff.

Remember when Obama took Russian leaders to a local hole-in-the-wall burger joint while in D.C.? OMG!! Obama and Biden were so hip! So cool!
But Trump buying 1100 burgers for Clemson? OMG HE'S SO CHEAP AND HAS NO CLASS!

Not even the same thing. Jesus christ, the president of the US served fast food for his guest. That's embarrassing and no amount of right wing bull**** and deflection can change that

Sorry, but churlish behavior can't make your claim less silly.
The text headline you refer to does not link. The only link is via the ESPN headline I posted originally, and again in #198.

Good grief, woman ... see post 211 ... even an idiot can check the "programming" of that web site article and see that "Clemson players cheer fast food at White House" is used as a link.

McD's is only considered fine dining by the people who voted for Trump. Not surprising that you consider it fine dining.
