There’s no reason to assume nefarious intention over egotistical erasure of meetings that didn’t go well. People need to wait and see what Mueller finds.

That's not actually true. Flynn, Manafort, and 13 Russians with ties to the "Trump orbit" were indicted for making false claims about ties to Russian money launder schemes and others were given deals for giving up information pertaining to Russia. That's why I asked you why they all lied about it. You can deny there's fire, but you're denying there is smoke. Feel free to have your own opinions, but you don't get to argue based on a set of lies you have accepted as truth because you've been reading the MAGA sub reddit.

False. The 13 Russians were not connected to the Trump campaign in any way. Manafort was convicted of things that happened before he met Trump. And yes, Flynn lied about a conversation with a Russian during the transition. NO one has been charged with conspiracy, collusion or any crime regarding the election and the Russian. NO one. SO it is you who has opinions that arent based upon facts, but as your post shows, are actually based upon total falsehoods. So why dont you go find yourself a new source for your news because you dont know what the hell you are talking about.

It is true. Manafort, PapaD, Cohen, Flynn, none of these guys were charged, convicted, pled guilty ECT for whatever meetings they had with Russians. There has been no charges that those 13 Russians had connections with anyone in the Trump campaign. There is no smoke here.

Wow. The lack of knowledge the two of you have combined on this story is appalling. I don't have "a news source." The journalists breaking the story allege that some (if not all) of the Russians indicted had contact with members of Trump's campaign team. In addition, pleading guilty to lying about illegal contact with Russians working for Putin is sort of being guilty of crimes associated with Russia. What exactly is the difference?

I've been in this Forum long enough for people to know where I stand when it comes to alleging someone has done something wrong absent proof of guilt. Especially when it is all naked speculation.

Innocent until proven guilty is my motto.

I asked the original question because if there is no law/regulation preventing it and other President's may have done the same, then decrying Trump when he does it is hypocritical.

Nor is it automatically damning evidence except to those who DO think he was a Siberian Candidate.

Now ask me how I feel or what I believe AFTER Mueller makes his report and I can examine FACTS used and see what crimes are alleged.

Until then, as far as I am concerned Mr. Trump can have all the secret or public meeting he wants while serving as President, because I don't currently believe he is a "criminal, traitor, or spy."

I'm gonna go with presidential records...any notes or paperwork must be kept for records..under the law.

He also cant hide behind executive privilege either

Now we are back to journalists alleging contact between those Russians and the Trump campaign. However, there was no indictment for that allegation.

Meanwhile, Manafort, Flynn, PapaD were NOT charged, indicted, convicted, pled guilty for "illegal" contact with Russians. They were charged, convicted, pled guilty, for lying about the contact.

So the difference is that they cut a deal for their illegal activities between themselves and their Russian contacts by pleading guilty to lying to the FBI. And they cut that deal why? Because Mueller is focused on getting intel about those illegal activities which you simultaneously admit occurred and didn't occur.

Now I get it?

They want people to believe that conspiring with the Russians is ok as long as it does not involve interfering with our elections

Just invite them over for 1,000 bowls of goulash (which I assume is their favorite food) to celebrate victory via colluding with a dictator! America is beyond great! It's almost as great as Russia now! I'm going to go watch some Dinesh D'Souza vids on youtube so I know what to say to the kids who ask why Americans elected a candidate that committed treason. Oh, right, he's like Lincoln because they both were Republicans! Whew. I was worried there for a second.
