The 'deal' is pass CRs, yet again, to end the shutdown adding 30 days of 'negotiating' time. Never mind the 21 days (and counting) of 'negotiating' time that have already passed since the shutdown began. It's simply more "kick the can down the road" nonsense - as congress takes off for another long weekend break.

Extortion? How is the President personally benefitting from this shutdown? You do know what the legal definition of extortion is, right?

And? Where is information about Trumps wall? I haven't seen anything on that aspect.

Why would any responsible Congressperson just fork over $5.6 billion for a dubious project with no published specifics and parameters?

We are now in → Day 32 ← of the Donald Trump/Mitch McConnell government shutdown.

Extortion: the practice of obtaining something, especially money, through force or threats.

It's the only style of "negotiating" trump knows since was born with a silver ladle up his ass.

The only thing that matters is that he couldn't strike a deal with his own party. He is obviously the problem here.

We should not negotiate with hostage takers. We did in the past, and now because we have, it's now accepted as the normal thing to do when democracy doesn't go the way they wanted.

If we reward the hostage takers, we can count on them using it like their new toy from now on.

They do it on a daily basis;why should this 5.6 billion be any different?

No, but it's how someone with no negotiation skills, no knowledge of the issues being negotiated, and who is too lazy to acquire the necessary knowledge, works.
Jeez, did you do really do something that stupid? You were as Dumb As Donald!

Throwing red meat to his base (that would include you, unfortunately). That is how he's benefiting.
