Angry furloughed federal workers protest shutdown at the White House, around the country

What are chuckles and stretch offering?

Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Stop the insane shutdown and start negotiating.

Trump owns the shutdown. He unequivocally and emphatically stated that .

Send workers back to work and start negotiating about the wall and border security.

Frankly who on the left will believe him anyway at this point? He consistently lies about their position. He is either too stupid or a run of the mill lying asshole who states that Dems do not want border security.

When you TELL one side what the conclusion of the negotiation is or else there is no negotiation? That is not a negotiation.

I am curious. The right goes after the "welfare state" - people getting without giving. So in one fell swoop....he turns one group (the furloughed) into people who do not work but eventually will get paid for not working. On the other hand...you have Trump's chief economic adviser referring to their furlough as a vacation. Yeah, the upside is that they did not have to use their PTO for the few days they wanted off at Christmas. The downside is...well....everything else.

On the flipside, we are not paying people we depend on for security.

Trump needs to STHU , stop poison pilling the negotiations and open up the government.

The last person I would believe is trump...or one of his followers...We will Defeat you...We will bring trump down...Blue State America will Win by any means necessary

And yet, your "Blue State America" didn't do anything to help your girl win against DJT in 2016.
It might also interest you that while not the majority, a growing, and significant number of Americans hold the Democrats responsible for not compromising with the POTUS to get the gov. back open.

Your missrepresentation does not concern me

How is it a misrepresentation?

He added: “If you don’t have that [the wall], then we’re just not opening.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...ill-not-end-unless-congress-funds-border-wall

And frankly, can you not remember the more recent Trump "Buh bye" moment with Pelosi? He did not want to negotiate unless the wall was a sure thing.

That is not a negotiation. Give me what I want or else is more like what a dictator would say.

Frankly his strength was before the the new congress. It is interesting when he has LESS power he pulls this kind of play. There were agreements on the table (both houses) before the new congress was seated that would have prevented this. But of course Limbaugh and Coulter have occupied the void in between his ears.

Furloughed federal workers protesting in front of the Trump White House.

The protest crowds at the White House will become more massive and vocal as hardships really begin to hit home and hearth.

The above should scare the GOP to death coming on the heels of a midterm bloodbath.

The Democrats won an election, too, and their voters almost universally oppose the wall. Perhaps the idiot-asshole in the WH should have taken the wall the first time they offered it to him, when they had significantly less leverage because of their minority numbers.

That's because the Democrats are almost all, universally anti-Trump resisters; uncompromising obstructionists.

That's not what I said. I dont expect any president to sign a bill they dont like. I also dont expect congress to write a bill they dont agree with.

I do expect both sides to make some concessions to reach a compromised position. Trump is at the WH ready to talk. Where are the Dems?

Democrats dont get to have their way and concede nothing simply because they hold a majority in 1 house. That's not how our government works.

Trump basically said there is no compromise. It's what he wants or nothing at all.

True dat. Either Trump gets his $5.6 billion vanity wall or the 800,000+ federal employees will continue to suffer. Just as large a problem here is McConnell.

He is purposeful and heartlessly suppressing the US legislative process so that Trump doesn't wind up in the embarrassing position of having his veto overridden by Congress.

He said that because the Democrats aren't budging, are not compromising. He's in the oval office waiting to sign while congressional Democrats firmly resolved to resist his calls for border enhancements.

The last time Trump and the Dems "talked," he didn't get his way and stormed out of the room.

Fed employees suffering the most are those who enjoy the lax nepotism rules in govt agencies that allow entire families to dine at the govt trough. Those protesting are merely following union orders.

I'm furloughed and happy as a clam. Who wouldn't like paid time off?

Flat out lie.

You're furloughed right now due to this trump shutdown?

Not true. Trump demands only one thing. Pelosi said he can't have that one thing. This is all about the one pointless thing. trump's vanity wall. There is more than one thing/option out there. For trump its wall or nothing.

Yes, and hope it lasts a while longer. Sleeping late, no commute... what's not to like? Some co workers are driving for Lyft or Uber to tide them over. Some drawing unemp (that will have to be paid back when backpay comes in). I'm being lazy. ;)

Sure you are. It's amazing debating cons on the internet. When the topic is business, they are a small business owner. When it's intel, they used to work for the CIA. When it's military, they were navy seals. What a remarkable coincidence.

Tell that to the Coast Guard......TSA agents and air traffic Controllers.....
