Trump says he ‘never said’ Mexico would pay for the wall. But he did – a lot

You know what was black and white? The promise that Mexico would pay for the wall. And they havent. And they said they wont. And they havent signed the treaty that 'might' get some $ from them but was NEVER intended to do so. That The Donald's had 2 yrs to extract from them...even an agreement to reimbursement. Those answers were all also black and white. NO.

Ironically, the part of the wall which Donald has been taking credit for these past two years is wall which was approved during Obama's term. So, yes, Democrats have approved wall funding before.

And now Trump is taking credit for their efforts because he's such an abysmal deal maker.

Great. Trump has had two years, he's 1/2 way through his term, so what's the deal he's making with Mexico that's going to pay for the wall? I would love to hear it.

I knew they supported walls in certain areas in the past, but not 'an entire border wall' which this has been promoted as.

Trump wasn't my choice but he has grown on me. Living in Texas as I do it make me realize we need a physical barrier because what we are doing now isn't working. There are area where the terrain may reduce the need for a wall but most areas need a wall. With Trump I see personality issues and policy issues his ego and
personality is not my preference but MOST of his policies I do agree with. And his election has exposed corruption in the DOJ and that is a good thing to get exposed.

Wrong did you watch the video I posted He specifically said Mexico wouldn't not pay in the form of a check. You have no idea if he posted that on the website or another person working the campaign posted it. Remember this was the first campaign he ran and he was pretty busy. I doubt he personally posted that. Its possible but it doesn't seem likely. Watch the video and his intent is obvious and it is consistent with what he said at a later date.

Illegal immigration needs to be addressed both by dealing with illegal immigrants who try to sneak in, dealing with those already here and dealing with a seriously broken immigration system.

His website post was about a one time payment.

He sold the rubes on the lie that Mexico would pay for the wall, because they are ignorant rubes they believed his lie.

You really can't twist out of this...your president said Mexico would pay for it...now you want to spin what he said into something different.

Do you know that HE posted that or did an underling post it? He was pretty busy at that time. The video clip I posted is consistent with what he has said subsequently.
