There was absolutely no "do whatever they want" in my factual statement "(which they have a legal right to do since it is NOT against the laws of the United States of America to cross the US border)".

When I travel to the US, I stop at Customs. The Customs station is located INSIDE the United States of America. I have to ENTER the United States of America to reach the Customs station. I do NOT commit a crime by ENTERING the United States of America and neither does anyone else.

You may not like it but that IS what the law IS.

PS - You might be interested in some data concerning how well West Virginia does in protecting the environment. As you can see, Virginia ranks five places higher than California does. Shouldn't that call for a hearty "WELL DONE"?

PPS - If you want to have some fun, try translating the figures into per capita ones. You simply won't believe at how badly California turns out when compared to Virginia.

We're talking illegal entry, not some guy with a valid passport asking to enter the country.
