Texas landowners dig in to fight Trump’s border wall

The use of eminent domain for public projects like highways and reservoirs and border barriers is OK For Walmarts and football stadiums not so much.

lmao. Surely you must be joking.

If Trump wanted to sieze my land, he'd have an armed standoff on his hands.

To be fair, they would need to take much more land than just the land the wall is on.

They would need land to patrol the wall and permission to follow illegals onto the private property in case anybody did get passed.
You are correct they intend to build a road along the barrier to patrol on. Hot pursuit does no require permission from a landowner.

And you would go to jail.

Like when the Bundy family had their standoff? Will the RW militias support the land owners, or do they only do that when a Democrat is in office?

No body shot anyone when the city of Arlington Texas took 200 homes to build AT&T Stadium for Jerry Jones.

Well it was for football after all. greater good and all that....

Stole the words from my mouth, thank you.

Do you even know what you are talking about? That wasn't an eminent dominion issue. Apples to Oranges.

SO, right wingers only support those that steal Government land? Got it.....

The Bundy issues were a little more complicated than that. Regardless it wasn't an eminent domain issue where Ranchers will be compensated.

The quote was a tongue in cheek response to the comment about locals being shot at by illegals.

I just saw a landowner farmer on Fox that owned land along the Rio Grand and he thinks a wall will help. His wife is afraid to go out after dark. He said "How would you like drug dealers walking across your land every week."

Huh...conservatives talking about the rights of the many over individual rights. Trump is making his supporters into Lefties... :lamo

Conservatives do see the need for eminent domain, in spite of the hype to the contrary.

For example? Show me where a conservative has hyped against eminent for public use as stated in the constitution.

Are you that uneducated and uninformed? Unsurprising.

Bundy Standoff.

In 2014, when this began, i was in the persian gulf on deployment. Sorry that simple land disputes just were not a priority to me, nor did I even read anything in the news about it(which, mind you, was very limited anyway to stars and stripes and the Navy Times, which was not always delivered on time, and in one year, we never recieved news at all.
