They are a total waste of time. Trump just needs to open the government back up, blame it on the Dems, and say he is bigger than the Dems. Then he needs to declare a national emergency and build the wall - screw the left who have no interest in border security at all. I just read today that both California and New York City want to bring on single payer healthcare and specifically include illegals. And they want us to believe they are interested in border security.

Yes. It shows weakness, lack of ability to work with people, arrogance, being a *****, ego

A national emergency would wind up in the courts until he is out of office & the whole question becomes moot.

Nice opinions and all, but it's not just the left. Most Americans are against the wall.

Actually thats a hellava an idea.

Re open not to concede but on principle.

Then declare the emergency.... lets face it its "becoming" a crisis. But not in the way we want it to be.

2 children died due to medical deficiencies.
2 Adults killed by illegals

thats 4 deaths in a matter of a month ALL due to the actions of an Illegal NOT by Trump or a wall.

if the Illegals did NOT commit an illegal act all 4 would likely still be alive? Fact check that? If the 2 children did NOT make the border trek would they or would the not be alive right now?

If the 2 illegals 1 that murder an LEO and the other a DRUNK DRIVER did not get INTO the US would these 2 victims likely be alive.

This is whats in the damn news what is NOT being covered is whats worse........Yes it is becoming a crisis, creating discord in our government, our people and a humanitarian issue at our borders.

Just so I understand here...

We're saying that when one side says "We're not paying anything for a wall" then it's the other side that's not negotiating?

Enough to vote Trump in to office

When the one side that has said Mexico will pay for the wall for the last 2.5 years, yeah he’s the one not negotiating.

So in your mind If I tell you if you elect me I’ll build this and you won’t pay for it, I get elected and then say oh it’s 25 billion dollars, lower it to 5 billion, then if you don’t give me the money it’s your fault. Right?

Did you know the the wall could potentially cost taxpayers $77 Billion? Is that okay with you? Think the return would be worth the investment?

They don't.
At all.
Knowledge is power, and Trump is powerless.

Weakest. Commander in Chief. Ever. - The Washington Post

I wholeheartedly agree with my Post colleague Charles Krauthammer when he writes:

The military told the commander in chief to go jump in a lake. Generally speaking, this is not a healthy state of affairs in a nation of civilian control. It does carry a whiff of insubordination. But under a president so uniquely impulsive and chronically irrational, a certain vigilance, even prickliness, on the part of the military is to be welcomed.

The brass framed their inaction as a matter of procedure. But the refusal carried with it a reminder of institutional prerogatives. In this case, the military offered resistance to mere whimsy. Next time, it could be resistance to unlawfulness.

The military is walking a very fine line here. But it seems increasingly clear that this is a unique president, one who has no idea how to wield power or issue credible threats.

That last bit, "one who has no idea how to....issue credible threats", is the bad one imo.

What country fears a leader like Trump, whose entire repetoire of skills is insulting someone, then holding his breath until he get's what he wants? Other countries know they can treat him like a six year old, and it will work.

Good to see Blue State America tell trump to shove that wall up his ass....We will not backdown....We will not retreat

Trump only wants the wall for personal reasons and nothing more. Building the wall will not prevent illegals coming into the US. The other side is saying that money would be better spent on other things that will actually make a difference in security.
