Sorry but he needs to wake up and realize that this is the US government and not Trump Organization where ass kissing (or whatever lower body part you be asked to 'kiss') is a condition for continued employment.

Either they leave in disgust, become a scapegoat and are thrown under the bus, resign in disgrace, plead guilty and turn States evidence or get indicted and convicted and are thrown in jail. Unless you last name is Trump or you are married to one you are fair game. Take your pick.

BTW There will be no Democrats doing ass kissing but 25 Republican Senators are getting ready to reopen the Govt. without your "boss" having a say. He needed a way out of this and now he can blame the GOP Senate. They are also likely candidates for the votes needed to get rid of him for good. Enough is enough. You have had your fun, it's high time for the adults to take over.

For the past three years, Trump has been saying 'we have a crisis at the border'. For the past two years, republicans have the House and Senate. So why in the past two years hasn't Congress been able to get this 'hair on fire' crisis sold to democrats? It's because this crisis is something he's creating in order to check off another box on his 'list of things to do', as he promised he would.

Yes, there's a crisis, but it's not a terrorist at the border crisis, it's a drug epidemic crisis. The people that come to the border, despite what many believe, are presenting themselves at the border, either with or without papers, and they're going through the asylum process just exactly as they're supposed to do.

A wall will take years to complete, and that's why it wasn't really a crisis 3 years ago and it's not a crisis today. A wall will not stop illegal drugs coming through our borders, either directly through border crossing, or through tunnels underground. The most damaging effect that appropriating funds and manpower to build a wall is that it's not going where it should be going to address this national health crisis with opioid addiction. The monies wasted on something we don't need are monies not going into drug programs.

There's so much more that the government can do to address the drug crisis. Doctors have to be made accountable for over-prescribing opioids. An ankle sprain or a tooth extraction does not require a patient to be given opioids for pain management. Only one in four people addicted to opioids have access to treatment for addiction. Hundreds of new treatment centers could be opened up with some of the money wasted on an unnecessary wall. There is strong evidence that medication combined with therapy can reduce opioid addiction. Drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone can all be used to treat people addicted to opioids. Naloxone which is given to someone who has overdosed remains a prescription drug throughout the US, but it shouldn't be a prescription only drug, it would save hundreds of lives if it was more available. In 42 states, bystanders found with illegal drugs now have immunity from prosecution if they call for help. This should be the case in every one of our 50 states. Addiction is a chronic medical condition, but it is more often viewed as a moral failing and crime - a factor which can limit access to treatment.

This is going to be a train wreck of a prime time address to the nation, odds are it will be filled with threats to declare a national emergency and lies for reasons to do so. But really the whole thing is a giant F-U to Congress, especially the new Democrat controlled House.

This is going to be no appeal to the nation, it will be a rant filled address that will have more association to what dictators give than anything like looking to the public.

The wall supporters have never looked at a map. For example, they are obviously unaware that half the border is a river, and if we build the wall they want, we will be giving that river to Mexico and cutting off every farmer and rancher along that river from their only source of water.

If you are so inclined, you may want to check out a copy of the US Constitution, which will explain to you that #1 doesn't describe the office of the President, and #2 belongs to Congress.
