Here's a solution...hire a private contractor to do the job.
With what money would these private contractors be paid with ?
Here's a solution...hire a private contractor to do the job.
BOOM!
I would also add that you seeking to understand where I am going is a feeble attempt to get me to divulge information that can help you avoid the hole that you have already placed yourself in...
You are truly delusional. give it a rest. All you're managing to do is derail this thread. Let me remind you since you seem to have forgotten, the thread is about TSA workers calling in sick because they're not being paid. Try and stick with it, okay?
Yeah......Best your kind stay out of the airline "security" business...Best you stay home
If this shutdown is prolonged much longer, we're going to see the safety of people traveling by air to be very compromised as more TSA agents call out 'sick'. The threat of terrorism increases.

First on CNN: Hundreds of TSA screeners, working without pay, calling out sick at major airports
Washington (CNN)Hundreds of Transportation Security Administration officers, who are required to work without paychecks through the partial government shutdown, have called out from work this week from at least four major airports, according to two senior agency officials and three TSA employee union officials.
The mass call outs could inevitably mean air travel is less secure, especially as the shutdown enters its second week with no clear end to the political stalemate in sight.
"This will definitely affect the flying public who we (are) sworn to protect," Hydrick Thomas, president of the national TSA employee union, told CNN.
At New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, as many as 170 TSA employees have called out each day this week, Thomas tells CNN. Officers from a morning shift were required to work extra hours to cover the gaps.
Well I guess that's that then, just throw up your hands and walk away, I guess.
"I can't help it the government's broken, what'd you expect?"
Here's what I expect: Sufficient funding to run government so that it can do its job properly, not cash strapped agencies that file reports but never look to see if anything is being done right while kow-towing to right wing politicos who want photo ops and sound bites.
Government service is supposed to be efficient, well staffed and good to the point of being boring as Hell, not bouncing along from crisis to crisis to crisis every day.
But there's a problem...almost half the country is now addicted to the fallacy that government cannot do anything right. Well gee whiz, if you create enough government crises, of course that's going to happen but when right wingers talk about government being broken, they're CELEBRATING.

So you're saying Democrat lawmakers routinely seek new and better ways to starve government agencies to the point where they can't function properly? Give me some examples, please.
I wasn't using vague references to bureaucratic incompetency, I was being VERY specific about funding and funding only.
You seem to think I believe that incompetency doesn't exist in large bureaucracies.
The thread is about funding, or lack thereof due to the government shutdown.
We can have the conversation about incompetency but that would be a different thread.
If there's no money to pay the current workers, how are they going to pay new ones? Why would they be working for free? Are you suggesting that the airlines and airports are incapable of paying them or are you one of those who simply believes that all money must come from government?
I've been saying this for a long time, but as far as I'm concerned, every single day that the government is shut down, not only should Congress and the President not get paid, they should each be fined $10,000 each per day for not doing the jobs they were elected to do. We'd never see another shutdown again.
Trump is the person who said he would take responsibility for the shutdown. This story is about the shutdown. Brush up on your troll posts. This one was a fail.
What a sad and useless reply. Good luck with that and all.
Sounds so easy, but there's a total of 55,000 of them. If all of them call out, is there any private company in the world that could potentially replace 55,000 trained TSA?
Pretty much said it all.....You don't fly because some TSA agent wants to make sure you aren't some nut job with a gun, and that bothers you...Best stay home
Yeah, the guys already doing the job.
If a private company does it then they will be able to negotiate terms of payment which say that late payments incur penalties.
Unions would also be able to have that effect but....

Hilarious that republicans that support the wall are ok with trump shutting down DHS.
The sanctimony is absolutely delicious!

Explains why republicans don't want immigration at all and have no beef with treating them like **** and kids dying in their custody. They don't view these folks as actual people but as their own demise.
