Ex-FBI chief Comey says Trump undermines rule of law with 'lies'

Since 2016? Yeah, he's a Republican. That he disassociates himself from the current strain, is good. But I think you know what I mean.

I don't really care what he is - I'm happy that he is speaking up.

You know, I have no doubt that Russia has long spread money and honey around to members of both parties to gain leverage if ever and whenever it was needed. That is reasonable to conclude.

The US and other nations no doubt attempt to do the same. It would seem that Russia has been more aggressive and perhaps more patient, however, and it has paid off.

Lately, I'm wondering if Russian efforts have produced results favorable to Russia among members of the GOP. For a while I was convinced the GOP was putting party above country. That may be true in some cases. But more and more I am beginning to believe Russia owns one hell of a lot of GOP officials in DC. Trump is one, of course. The useful idiot. And to help assure his assery successfully causing untold damage to the American republic Russia seems to have reminded more than a few GOP that they are owned.

I'm in agreement with you. It's likely there's some Dems in there too. I hope they find them all and throw them in jail.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former FBI Director James Comey on Monday accused U.S. President Donald Trump of undermining the rule of law in the United States by lying about the FBI, and he urged Republican lawmakers to “stand up and speak the truth” about Trump’s behavior.

Comey, who was fired by Trump in May 2017 while he was leading an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election and possible Trump campaign collusion, made his remarks after his second appearance this month before two House of Representatives committees.

The person in D.C. with the closest appreciation for Trump's misuse of the truth is Jim Comey.

LOL! Comey! The guy that let Hillary off after outlining how she broke the law in front of the nation, calls out Trump for undermining the rule of law! Now, that's a laugh.

No, you actually can't post pictures, because they weren't wearing those hats on the march. You lied.

Now, I can spend the day 2 days listing all the things Trump has done to undermine the rule of law. Let me start out with two examples. His constant and ongoing attacks on the DOJ. His comments on birthright citizenship. There are 2 right there for you to get started with.

No, let's see those pictures, or let's see you admit you lied about them wearing the pink hats.
Read up on the Elk V Wilkins case before the SCOTUS and the Snyder Act of 1924 and maybe you will understand why Trump thinks the 14th also does not apply to illegal aliens. And his attacks on the DOJ are justified by the corruption that cost the jobs of Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Ohr, Page, Yates etc. so you had better try again.

And yet I'm a genius when compared to you. :lamo

Haven't seen much evidence for that, Mr +5. Oh and you're no poet either. The only thing you take license with is in the telling or retelling of lies.

Why, do you want to lend them yours?

Its HYSTERICAL that you two think the hats are the serous part of that statement. :lamo The important part was that Comey's wife and kids openly supported Hillary and I find it likely that Comey himself wanted Hillary to win also.

Maybe you should photoshop them. As that would be the only way they will ever show up.

What I find interesting is this: Comey comes out of the closed door hearing. We won't see a transcript...redacted, of course...until tomorrow at the earliest. And what does Comey do? Immediately attack Trump and Fox News. Why?

My guess is that something...let's say, not so good for him...will be revealed in the transcript and he is getting a pre-emptive strike in to minimize the damage. It's a given that the bulk of the multimedia echo chamber will side with him no matter what is revealed, but Trump and Fox are a different matter.

Personally, I wouldn't trust that guy to give me directions to the nearest Starbucks without suspecting that he has an ulterior motive.

Yet it was the Obama administration that took a cooperative and friendly position with Russia

"After my election I have more flexibility"
Some of the most embarrassing (for us citizens) words ever spoken by an American president. He should have been impeached the next day.
Also, I wonder what he had going with the Russians? He clearly spoke as though there was no chance he wouldn't get reelected. And, let's just say, not like he was any good.

Of course, that DOJ wasn't going to investigate a damn thing.

Comey's wife and his daughter's were at the Women's march wearing pink pu*** hats the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Well, he was republican enough to sabotage Hillary's chance of getting elected. There's always that. Gotta give credit where's credit's due.

Eventually, the GOP will have to come to terms with the facts on the ground. It's a matter of self-preservation. This Trump thing is getting beyond berserk.

They (GOP) ran me off long before Trump. I see even the more die-hard republicans are starting to feel uncomfortable about their partisan loyalty to this baffoon. They are a proud bunch but pride will go before a fall. They already ran off the decent people who used to call themselves republican. Pretty soon, all they will have left are the Trumptards and there ain't enough of them to elect a dog catcher. They really can't afford to lose any more sensible republicans.

Trump is the gift that keeps on giving. To the democrats, that is. Merry Christmas.

You sure seem worried about Pink Pu*** Hats

You're the one that seems to be fixated on them for some odd reason as no one here was discussing pink ***** hats at all till you came along.

Oh Hillary and her lies did that all by herself. Comey only came out with the Weiner laptop thing because the New York FBI office was going to leak it to the press. Comey still thought Hillary would win if he cleared her on Weiner's laptop issues. Some of the emails they found that were on the laptop were government emails that Hillary had deleted off her server.

Rep. Devin Nunes said in late September 2016, New York FBI agents told him about the existence of Anthony Weiner’s laptop, which eventually led to the Comey letter of October 28.

 You are the one that keeps posting about them not me. They obviously are living rent free in your mind. You just can't stop yourself. It's hysterical.

Looks hysterically good! Huh?

Nope. The IG Republicans cried for, found the choice not to prosecute was appropriate and backed by precedent. Stop Lying, this was debunked years ago.

Comey is a typical leftist douchebag. He has spent the entire time avoiding responsibility for the obvious democrat collusion and his role with regard to the Clinton investigation and the fraudulent FBI investigation. He knows that he either allowed out of ignorance agents within his office to use a document the DNC bought and paid for from foreign agents in an attempt to sway a US election (the 'collusion' idiot leftists pretend to give a **** about) to gain FISA warrants and violate the rights of numerous Americans...all in the name of politics...or he was as active in the process as they were.

We believe what we wanna believe.

if you do a little research, you will see that while he was a registered republican through 2016, he left the Bush administration not long after Bush won a second term and was not in political office until President Obama appointed him to head the FBI 8 years later. I don't know the exact reason why he resigned as the #2 at Main justice but the rumors in the DOJ was that he had a falling out with Bush-IIRC waterboarding of terrorist suspects played a part. So Comey was not exactly a loyalist to either the Bush brand of Republicanism nor Trump

There's nothing to "debunk". There's no question that she broke the law, Comey told us that.

I wonder if it would be obstruction to delete emails and smash Blackberries, with a hammer, that were needed for the investigation? I wonder what the reaction would be if Trump did that?

Yeah! How dare they march. They should be subservient to whatever Daddy told them to do.

Of course you can post some pictures of his wife and his daughters wearing these pink ***** hats, right? Not other women at the march. Them, like you claim here - that they were wearing those hats. I'll wait.

I think Comey did say his wife and daughter were in the march. I thought DAMN good for them!

The important part of the statement was the fact that they attended the Woman's march [notice the shirts they are wearing] not the joke about the Pink pu*** hats .

You took poetic license with your statement as did I. Comey's wife and kids were on Hillary's side perhaps that is why Comey felt compelled to put his thumb on the scale and conduct a SHAM investigation of Hillary. He over stepped his authority and the rule of law and it cost him his job.

Who cares whether they marched or not?? Is that in and of itself a crime??
WOW misinformation has claimed its king hasn't it?
