Mystery Mueller mayhem at a Washington court

The last poll I saw had Mueller approval at 43.....really bad for the best guy for a very important job, a guy who has had most of a life with the best training available to get ready. My power is out and I am not good at this phone thing so I have no link.
One more that surprised me, Hawkeye:

Yeah, I heard the press pooled their resources, used a joint email account, and all kept an eye out.
I think they may have had better luck if they had left one person there, and everyone else had used their resources to check on the whereabouts of everyone it "may have been", and see if they could process of elimination it out.
If one group finishes, they just pick up someone not yet confirmed, etc.
Distributed tasks are normally hard to orchestrate, but it looks like they did the hard part...I feel they task they distributed was maybe the wrong one ;)

(I have absolutely no idea how hard it is to identify the whereabouts of people on short notice, but they are reporters...they gotta be able to??)
I'm tellin' ya: I love the free-press! I'm a firm believer in the Fourth Estate, too. (yeah, I know they're essentially the same thing)

Thanks for all the effort.

Yeah, Erik Prince could definitely be a possibility. He'd surely be worth all the secrecy for a plethora of reasons.

I don't see Maria Butina. It's not worth keeping her under wraps. She's already been displayed publicly.

How about Don McGahn? Or maybe Reince Priebus? Or even Jeff Sessions? The speculation could be endless.

Except Butina is not being treated as a spy, but if this were a trap set up by Mueller to prove collusion, then that makes perfect sense and she could now be being treated as a spy. She could have also simply testified against Papadopoulos.

I would say that Sessions is somewhere in the mix, but I have no idea how. McGahn already has been cooperating with Mueller and there was no need for that to be secret and kept from the press before.

I agree with Sessions. He lied like a rug to Congress. I do suspect he's dirty due to his deceitfulness, along with his being deeply involved in this crowd from early-on.

My power is still out, another half hour they say, power company predictions being what they are.
Being without power, really gives us perspective on its value, eh? ;)

I will always remember this dinner and how Rosenstein said Whitaker was a suberb choice. They are out in the open, openly trolling Trump and he doesn't get the half of it.

Especially when it happens so often, but did not happen for three years back in the mid aughts when PSE got a wild hair and trimmed the lines correctly.

Ah, so before the appointment. Well, Whitaker is very possibly a Trump mole. So he might just be doing that job, there.

Yeah, that pic was back in the height of Trump attacking Rosenstein AND Jeff Sessions as part of his master plan to make America great (Again). They were basically giving him the finger, that was I think the 3 in succession lined up for a public photo op.

Thanks for the context, Mach. I never saw the pic before.

Someone with a ton of money for high priced lawyers, and a number of appeals does not want to testify before the GJ

NEW U.S. prosecutors on Friday asked a federal judge for permission to move Maria Butina from jail, including potentially to testify before a grand jury, in a sealed filing apparently made public by mistake.

Source: (CNN) Mystery Mueller mayhem at a Washington court

This is essentially a "Seinfeld" story. It's a story about "nothing". It posits little, and draws no conclusions.

But it is interesting in it's imagery and detail of the extent the court is going through to maintain seal (secrecy). I followed this event on cable today, and when I saw it online from an MSN source I jumped on it to present it here.

I hope you enjoy it!

I"ll bet that that subpoena is for the president, why all the ruckus? Gotta be the big fish.

We shall see.

Pass the popcorn

I don't think the DOJ will break opinion, and indict Trump. Though they possibly may, if it appears the President is actively & egregiously trying to obstruct or avert justice.

This incident could involve a Trump family member, however. That's possible. No idea how likely, though.

I'm surprised (though, perhaps I shouldn't be) that so many in this thread seem to be unaware of this stuff. I mean, it's been going on for months.

The speculation has been running rampant for a long time. I guess it's time for DP members to do their own speculating.

As always, I'll wait for facts.

..... and then deny that they are facts. [emoji849]

Or maybe Ivanka Trump about the inauguration...
Geezus, is there anything this family does that isn't crooked or pure greed?

A top inaugural planner emailed Ivanka and others at the company to “express my concern” that the hotel was overcharging for its event spaces, worrying of what would happen “when this is audited.”

naugural workers had other misgivings. Rick Gates, then the deputy to the chairman of the inaugural, asked some vendors to take payments directly from donors, rather than through the committee, according to two people with direct knowledge. The vendors felt the request was unusual and concerning, according to these people, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they signed confidentiality agreements. It is not clear whether any vendors took him up on his request.

“Grifters gonna..............you know.....”

Reminds me of the horror movie where the line is, “the call came from in the house!”

You know if the staff is embarrassed by the rates.........

They weren't embarrassed. They were worried about their hides, if they got caught! This is Trump org, remember?

But with this, we may have seen one more impetus for a quick flip by Rick Gates.
