So The NRA DID Fall For The Russian Cutie!

Obviously the Democrats taking the House was good for the NRA. Don't sales slow down in the absence of Democratic power and school shootings?

the shootings don't increase sales-its the pavlovian barking for gun bans that do. But you are correct-when Trump was elected-I got tons of good deals because lots of makers-especially of magazines and ammo-figured Hillary would win and would try to get gun bans passed or put anti gun judges in place who would sustain states like NJ and CT banning guns. When that didn't happen, prices on normal capacity magazines dropped as did ammo. For example-In my opinion-the best magazine for the AR 15 is a Lancer-its a clear high impact polymer/plastic with steel feed lips. Its far more durable than military issue or the popular MAG PUL rigs. Before the election, the going price was 18-22 dollars. I recently have bought 12 for 140 dollars and they generally are going for 14.95. 9mm AMMO during the early stages of the Obama administration was going for 15bucks for fifty and when there were shortages, some unethical sellers were gouging prices as high as 40 bucks a box. Now, I can buy decent russian made ammo for 6.50 and I just bought a thousand rounds of top quality USA made (CCI) for 169/1000/

This thread was boasting of the swelling of the NRA's coffers after the Parkland shooting.

It's exactly what I said it is.

You're not stating the entire charge.

"Butina has agreed to plead to a single charge of conspiracy to act as a Russian agent on America’s soil without registering as required with the Justice Department."

I have found no legal statements showing this to be a "minor crime".

I don't see any weakness in the Republicans...
If I am wrong, prove your points.

I don't think any of them can. They simply found a suitable horse, that hasn't been kicked into oblivion as of yet. So I'm just going to wait for them to get it out of their systems and then actually speak to someone who's actually intelligent and who genuinely cares for the subject.

that was because there were howls for gun bans coming from Democrat politicians, talking media heads and leftwing activists. The opening post in that thread-thanked David Hogg who became the poster-Cretin for gun bans.

calling it a night-SYL

Ugg... David Hogg, that poster child for Hitler youth was one of the worst things to come out of that ordeal. Not to mention the inane and downright fictitious claims from him and his class mates.

Does this look familiar?

its funny watching liberals-who fluffed and worshipped the soviet union for 80 years now whining about "Russia". What exactly have these "Russian Masters" done to hurt us? ruined our economy? disarmed our citizens? jacked up unemployment?

I noticed the left seem to do a 180 on Russia the moment they enacted this law and all of a sudden they cared what Russia did.

OK lets assume that actually happened and all that was in favor of Trump

can you prove that Trump would not have won but for that

and how would electing a pro military pro armed America be more beneficial for the Russians than Hillary?

This is why it doesn't make sense for the Russians to help a Republican become president over a Democrat and why I have doubts about Russians helping Trump win the election. A democrat president is more likely to let them slide and more likely to reduce our military than a Republican would.

Hmm.. I can somewhat understand the spirit of the law. Though the application of it is far more the bigger problem. Funny enough, we have groups here in the states that apparently want to push homosexuality, or some other general shift from a normal sexuality in the very least. Onto increasingly younger sets of children through the years.

Though we can see where the left just jumped ship from Russia in the very least.

There he is... how's that little Aryan doing now a days?

He is once again irrelevant. His "15 minutes of fame" has come and gone. The above pic probably aided his demise.

I recall seeing him back on TV for some reason. Though I'm not quite sure just what was being protested, or what his message was.

I must have missed it. I wouldn't say I'm one of his "fans" though.

I do know that it had barely, if anything at all to do with gun control. He wasn't even remotely dolled up like he usually was and it was some sort of protest outside. That's about as much as I can remember form the whole thing. Though it was around two months ago.

Like I said, I didn't see it. I'd say the media could be trying to keep him relevant, but his "15 minutes of fame" is over.
I wonder if Pelosi and Schumer will bring gun control back in the "limelight" now that the Dems control the house. They are extremely anti-gun.

just setting the scene for the attached rachel maddow discussion of NRA collusion with the russians
looks like the NRA will soon be needing the services of a good lawyer
only wish i knew one to recommend

Avenati?

Regarding the title:

If some people want to think that potato-faced ginger bitch is a cutie, they must be pretty hard up.
As for her status as a foreign spy, the NRA has cooked its own goose in its own drippings.
I am a former NRA member and you will never ever convince me that they are a patriotic organization committed to American rights and freedoms after this.

The NRA was hijacked a few decades ago and is now first and foremost a right wing political organization pushing far right ideas and candidates.

You are confusing the ILA (the political branch of the NRA) with the "rank and file" members of the NRA.

I would strongly urge you to read the excellent book by Michael Waldman THE SECOND AMENDMENT - A BIOGRAPHY published just last year. In it he documents how the NRA was transformed from a basically non partisan guns safety and education organization into a right wing political force over a thirty year period. Its al there for you and anyone who wants to learn.

If an entire book is not something for you, here is a shorthand version

If you cannot access the Post, there is this

I've been a life member of the NRA for 35+ yrs. and a certified firearms instructor for over 20. I associate with many members, so don't tell me what you read in some book is gospel. I live it.

I would be more than happy for you to point out the errors in the Waldman book or in the articles I passed on to you. I would be happy to discuss this with you should you step up and do so.

I didn't read the Waldman book so I cannot comment. But, I am an NRA member and frequently associate with other NRA members, that I can comment on.
