Your right, its a stupid idea as its a very expensive solution to a problem that is way overstated, but its not immoral.

Some people, however, think that doing something that is stupid, knowing beforehand that its stupid, is immoral. Perhaps that is her thinking?

Trump's fundamental problem is that he was elected with minority support, but tries to "govern" (bully is a more apt word) as if he has a mandate. He does not.

The cheapest (and by far the easiest) is to do nothing at all which also happens to get congress critters re-elected at a rate of over 90%. I favor the immediate implementation of mandatory eVerify - change the federal income tax code such that no employer may deduct the direct labor costs of any employee or subcontractor who does not have current eVerify certification - that applies to each and every W-2 and 1099 labor expense claimed.

I think they can build a ladder for less than that.

A tunnel would be better, but that would cost more.

It’s time for Democrats to lead on this wall business.

Seeing as Democrats claim walls do not work and are immoral, it is time for Democrats to tear down their walls first... you know... walk the talk.

it's in the news, daily
they are against American taxpayers funding it because it is not a good solution to the illegal immigration problem
there is nothing which indicates they would object to the wall if it is paid for by mexico - as our president promised

why would they want to tear down structures that were effective
offer to work with the democrats to develop a proposal that actually deals with controlling immigration and i would expect a positive response
however, the republicans, who controlled the white house, senate, and congress, chose not to even require something as simple as e-verify to confirm all employees are legal residents, and thus, legal employees
it would appear the republicans - and the democrats - do not actually want to solve the illegal immigration problem
