That those people who were exercising their First Amendment rights happen to belong to groups that you do not support does not give you the right to try and quash their legitimate exercise of their First Amendment rights.

PS - Please excuse the above, but I understand that "Team Trump" is looking for a new PR director (and is willing to pay a whole lot of money) so I thought that I'd get in a bit of practice writing "TrumpSpeak".

The Three-Fifths Compromise was a compromise reached among state delegates during the 1787 United States Constitutional Convention. Whether, and if so, how, slaves would be counted when determining a state's total population for legislative representation and taxing purposes was important, as this population number would then be used to determine the number of seats that the state would have in the United States House of Representatives for the next ten years. The compromise solution was to count three out of every five slaves as a person for this purpose. Its effect was to give the southern states a third more seats in Congress and a third more electoral votes than if slaves had been ignored, but fewer than if slaves and free people had been counted equally, thus allowing the slaveholder interests to largely dominate the government of the United States until 1861.[1] The compromise was proposed by delegates James Wilson and Roger Sherman.

Hope this Canadian helped you learn a bit more about American history.

"The foundations of the country are" - What you are bringing up are State Laws that sound like they violate the Constitution.
Slavery is one of them. And the Constitution. See above.

Red Herring. Trump has nothing to do with this.
Nonsense. In a thread about racism in the USA, discussing the POTUS who publicly supports the KKK and Neo Nazis, saying some are "very fine people" is not a red herring. Trump said this about people at a White Supremacist rally, which had a stated purpose of uniting White Supremacists, and where people were carrying Nazi flags, chanting Nazi slogans, and making Nazi salutes.

There are no "very fine people" at a White Supremacist rally.

Do you even bother to read your own links? Or are you just trying to make everyone laugh? Yeah, those KKK guys were really against Trump alrighty! "We don't like his hair!"

by the lazy standards to which you obviously adhere, you must think the fat lady is a KKKer, do you? Is that why you didn't go for Trump, because this prominent KKK member had switched to the fat lady... maybe you should, too? Is that it?
You're the one who is apparently unable to comprehend simple English, I never said anything about "a fat lady". Might I suggest you reread my post, and this time keep a dictionary handy. When you do understand, then reply, not before please. Thank you in advance.

I see from another post you are a Christian (or at least religious), as I suspected. Are you a missionary?

That means that the American Civil War was fought over nothing!!!
Is the 13th not a part of the U.S. Constitution?

No, it's people. Neither "The Bill of Rights" nor "The Constitution of the United States of America" have ever done a thing.

Only people do things, pieces of paper don't.

Although you probably don't realize it, you do have a point.
So I made a point that you responded to and your response is to tell me that I probably don't understand the point that I just made that you are responding to?

If you actually read the Constitution of the United States of America as it was written and in the context of its day, it was NOT "designed to perpetuate discrimination against minorities". It was actually designed to perpetuate discrimination IN FAVOUR OF A minority and that minority was "propertied, educated, White, men".
I am sure that you will have no problem proving that it was designed to benefit white men only then...

Article 1, Section 2, of your Constitution:

Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons.

Glad I could help an American realize that the foundation of their country rests on racism.

I have to ask, were you really unaware of this aspect of your own history, or were you trying to be deceitful and trick me into believing the above didn't exist?

And it's just silly to ignore that the USA was built on slavery, just because slavery itself isn't specifically addressed in the constitution.

Finally, you're ignoring the fact that Trump publicly supported Neo Nazis and the KKK by saying some are "very fine people".

It is clear that you can use some help. The Bill of Right is part of the Constitution and if the Constitution is mentioned then the Bill of Rights is mentioned.

No, it's not. This doesn't even make sense.

Trump is often calling on his supporters to be violent, and his base on average is old. For example the KKK and Neo Nazis.

So, do you have any actual evidence from reputable sources to support your assertion?

I don't understand... it says "people" and does not mention slaves at all...

Trump never said, "members of the KKK are very fine people".
