The Latest: 7 Nooses Found Outside Mississippi Capitol

OK, it isn't "fake" news. It's just failed "news".

What's the fail? They reported on facts, yes? There were nooses hung around the capitol, correct? 7 of them or so. With some signs, too. Just what the AP said.

Its real news reported piss poorly.

They should have reported it how, Pirate? Told us the color of the nooses? What kind of tree they were hung in? How many knots were in each one?

I read the article. Did you? It was all pretty factual. Nothing "piss poor" about it.

The fact that you COMPLETELY ignore the context of the presentation and even go so far as to say that the reporting of it without the context was fair and reasonable is disappointing. It's also a reflection of the current political climate to which you seem to adhere.

What context? I read the article. It says that the nooses were hung there by people who wanted to make some point that lynching victims shouldn't be forgotten. And I think that's sick. I don't approve of anyone posting nooses for any reason. So what context did you get from the article that was crystal clear to me?

Mississippi being Mississippi. Every negative stereotype you have ever heard about Mississippi is true.
Yup...

Mississippi Democrats are still hanging nooses.

Whoever hung those things think that voters are stupid.

I hope that the election results today show that most voters are not.

The democrats have moved on from their klan days. Back when democrats where wearing those robes they were able to lynch handfuls. Today, democrats have ****ed over millions and millions of black Americans in ways their Klan ancestors could only dream of.

Sadly...there is plenty of evidence that the results they anticipated getting have already born fruit, and the people they are targeting are indeed just that ****ing stupid.

Espy is running the racist very close so far... Within 5% with the burbs still to come in...

Yet amazingly, black people vote democrat overwhelmingly. What do they know that you don't?

Btw, recommend the book, "At the Hands of Persons Unknown," a history of lynching. The South back in the day was weird. Not only did they lynch many blacks, the number of whites they lynched, albeit a fraction of the total, was high enough to be more than, say, total lynchings in entire regions of the north. Strange foreign culture back then. Racism explains the black lynching. Does anyone have an analysis that explains what produced so many white people being lynched?

Election stunt by Democrats. No doubt.

It wasn't a hoax. It was an anti-racism protest.

The pictures of the signs are here on this Facebook post - https://www.facebook.com/MissDPS/posts/1931408336896201

It's beyond me that people would see this as racist in any way. Then again, we're at a point in our history where common sense and the ability to discern context are utterly lost on a great number of people who only see racism and hate.

That's what happens when one inculcates a belief of victimhood into people like the left has spent the last several decades doing.

Looks like the race-mongering attempts by dems didn't work. She just won quite handily

I also noticed the intentionally inflammatory and race-baiting lede's used by the MSM. There corruption and shilling for DEMS is so obvious:

Nooses and 'hate' signs left outside Mississippi Capitol in buildup to special election (ABC News)

Nooses, hate signs found at MS State Capitol (MSN)

Two Nooses And Six ‘Hate Signs’ Found On Mississippi … (Left-Wing Talking Points Memo)

As you can see, the left of center press and the MSM...little difference.

The context being that it was a Democratic protest about Hyde's comments. It wasn't a racist display.

On cue.

A bunch of idiot leftists made a pathetic little protest display COUNTING on the fact that a bunch of like minded idiots would read a headline and ignore the facts and start their usual idiot "racist" dance.

You are right. Because the republiKKKans would never ever do anything racist.

I have just heard the election results.

I think I know what many people in Mississippi are feeling this morning.

I share their feeling.

I never said it was a racist display. Nor did the article, given the fact that it was crystal clear that the nooses were accompanied by signs that were clearly placed there by Hyde-Smith's opponents. So again, there was no "fake news" here. Nor any missing context. The AP reported factually.

You may not have, but others in this thread believed that to be the case because of misleading headlines.

That happens with every thread. But it still doesn't change the fact that the AP didn't mis-report on this story.
