WASHINGTON — North Korea is moving ahead with its ballistic missile program at 16 hidden bases that have been identified in new commercial satellite images, a network long known to American intelligence agencies but left undiscussed as President Trump claims to have neutralized the North’s nuclear threat.

The satellite images suggest that the North has been engaged in a great deception: It has offered to dismantle a major launching site — a step it began, then halted — while continuing to make improvements at more than a dozen others that would bolster launches of conventional and nuclear warheads.
You remember when Trump admirers were saying that he should get a Nobel Prize for striking peace with North Korea? President Trump claimed he would use his world-class dealmaking skills to convince North Korea’s dictator, Kim Jong Un, to surrender his nuclear weapons.

As I said back in April, Trump's visit and his fawning of Kim Jong Un was nothing but political theater that accomplished no real deal. Kim essentially punked Trump, as so many suggested. This is what happens when neophytes think they are experts in diplomacy -- they get played.

Trump still sanctioned N. Korea even after they demonstrated marginal good intentions. Trump has made the lives of ordinary North Koreans more difficutt when a "stick and carrot" approach would have worked better. On the other hand, Moon and KIm have made great strides. Moon has been the driving force behind the N. Korean peace efforts, not Trump.

Kim isn't moved by making ordinary North Korean citizen's lives worse, as Kim starved those citizens when he felt it was worth it.

My point of this thread was that Trump's victory laps earlier in the year for supposedly negotiating peace with NK were premature at best and also undermines the perception of this guy's negotiating acumen.
