Maybe this seems ridiculous to FOXNews because we don't really have a big slavery problem anymore in this country, but partly because of the UK's immigration laws, they have a much bigger problem. My husband is from London and his nanny growing up had originally been brought into the country essentially as the slave of an eastern european oligarch.
We do have a big problem in the US, it is just well hidden.
The 2017 Global Estimates of Modern Slavery report released Tuesday found modern slavery in every region of the world. The report didn't specify how many of those victims were in the United States during 2016, but a Walk Free Foundation index estimated that number to be about 57,700.
