I did not mean this particular incident.
I was addressing the overall atmosphere, and overall attitude that caused this particular incident.
This is where total war will come from.
It will come from the hate embedded in the hearts that caused this and those that are good with it and excuse it.

That is where total war dwells.

This incident was merely the flotsam on the top of the boiling stew pot.

The recipe for the stew of total war is;
Complete partisan thought
Vilification of the other side
Dehumanization of the other side
Excusing the violent antics of the other side
Escalation of that same violence
Office holders calling for and excusing that violence
"I will not stop unless they do" language
Mob violence and incivility
murders blamed on the other side

All the ingredients are here and in the pot and the fire is turned on.

It is no longer a matter of IF, but HOW SOON.
Tell me i am wrong.
The proof you need is right here for all to see.

The breakup of Yugoslavia started this very same way.

2. Were the cops called? If so, where is the police report?

3. Was there violence?

InTexas you can legally use lethal force on someone vandalizing your home at night. Personally I would not but I’m not sure everyone would show restraint

My reply stands. Whether you are referring only to this incident, as your post seemed to indicate, or some nebulous total of incidents, it's ridiculously hyperbolic thing to say.

Antifa is a fringe group. They have no power to make war, only the power to terrorize. They can be arrested for their violent acts by legal authorities. There is no need for civilians to rise up in response.

I never once mentioned ANTIFA. Only you did that.
ANTIFA is just a bunch of bored spoiled kids with too much time on their hands.
They are no threat at all. Have you seen them fight? They can't even throw a decent punch.
Neither are the Klan or those fat, overweight slobs who call themselves White nationalists.
All three just make noise. They are not professional.

The war will start went real professionals decide they have been pushed too far and decide to group together and act.
Be they right or on the left.
They will also not have web pages, and they will be off the radar.
That is how real professionals will do it.

The stage is set and as Bonnie Tyler said..."We are living in a powder keg and giving off sparks".
All pieces are set for something bad, and there are too many hearts hoping it does.
I am not one of them.

The hate and violence are real and it is no longer under the surface anymore.

I think they are being investigated and will be arrested and that is the way to go with each and every one of these terror acts.

I just saw, for the first time, what went on outside Carlson's home.
As far as I'm concerned...and most people I'd imagine...it was sickening, over the top, threatening, and CRIMINAL!
I know that there was a time when the Klan acted out like this. I've never seen or heard of it in my lifetime, but I know they were pretty crappy.
Perhaps that's why most people dislike them intensely? I'll tell you this, with all due respect and honesty;
Were something like that to happen at my home...especially while they knew I was away...each of them would be well advised to seek out the police and give themselves up...before I found them myself.

You have a whole lot more faith in this crap justice system than I do. Course I live near Seattle where the police force is been largely wrecked by politicians who dont want a whole slate of crimes punished, because their politics do not approve of those laws. All too often cops stand on their hands...we have a case here where almost certainly vagrants did almost half a million dollars in damage with a fire, the guy who owns it says he thinks he knows who did it....the police could care less, they will not do anything.

I have a son who is a chief of police, so I will politely disagree with you.
Punks who willingly belong to a group like ANTIFA, are not liked by the police force, and no politician would defend their criminal actions.
