NBC, Fox, Facebook pull Trump immigration ad that CNN called 'racist'

Luis Bracamontes, came across our border illegally, several times. He killed American cops, fact! Trump could have used many, many examples with similar results. That was as far as the "conflating" went. truth is, 70% of the caravan are military aged males, fact! No skill, no money, almost no education.. Those factors when statistically pitted against American citizens equal a life of crime, and or poverty! Why wouldn't we expect that statistical reality to not apply to these illegals in the caravan? Is that racist, or just statistically true?

People, like you, as an example, see race in everything. It's what you do!~ You're incapable of critical thinking!

What is your source?

Everything is "racist" to the Left. Again: how is this "news"?

No, it's not. But it fun to watch you run from my statement with no rational answer.

Not really surprising you'd try and rationalize away Trump's naked racism and lies.

What is your source?

The media, even the fake news is reporting this, Telemundo also reported this.. Or, you could just use your eyes.. I don't do lazy, rex, you'll have to check it out for yourself, and I'd suggest maybe you try that approach to a lot of the nonsense you read about on here or elsewhere.

Fact aren’t facts because you say they are...........that’s just Trumpian.

Use my eyes?

I just read nonsense, all right......:2wave:

So, good, you confirmed on your own, which took, what? 4 seconds? There's a lot of that nonsense going around, granted, you're not one of those hyper=partisans I see here all too often, but be careful, they can reel you in before you know it. I NEVER trust one source for my news, NEVER!

He was also released early from custody by well know conservative republican Joe Arpaio and reentered under GWB's watch.

Trump liked through his teeth to fool suckers, rubes and clowns.

And it's working.

Everything is "racist" to the Left. Again: how is this "news"?

First of all, the right IS home to a lot of racism and your hyperbole doesn't change that. Secondly, I agree that it's not a racist ad, per se. What it does do, though, is forward the notion that immigrants are just nomadic criminals, a stupid lie that Trump has already told over and over. The reason the ad was pulled is because white people aren't the only ones with money to spend any more so advertisers must remain cognizant of who they insult, lest their sales suffer. Money is the American god, after all, sanctified by conservatives above all others.

Now, back to the "point" of the ad. To that I will say that there are different levels of evil. It's one thing to decide not to help the hungry, homeless guy on the corner. It's another to go around lying about him, telling everyone that he's a pedophile so that NOBODY wants to help him. So, what the Republican party has done (because it WAS a repub ad) is to bear false witness against the most needy people on this continent. They have deliberately poisoned the charity pool from which good people sometimes draw water for the needy, their goal not to prevent cop killings but to absolve themselves from any obligation to care about other humans.

Once again, the republican party has demonstrated a level of shameless douchebaggery that is even a new low for them. The worst part is that nothing they do surprises me any more. Clearly, conservative politics is a ghastly, downward spiral of hate and stupidity with no apparent end. It's getting to where I can't even look conservatives in the eye without wondering how they they think they can normalize so much negativity and ignorance while still expecting others to treat them as if it's all just a different opinion and not a toxic, inhuman ugliness.

Conservatives, you have lost, not the election yet, but any sense of moral legitimacy. You guys are too dumb and angry and hateful to notice that nobody respects your differences because you won't even lift a finger to do the right thing when it's glaringly obvious. I hope it's worth it to you to be defined by hate. It's a choice that YOU made.

You think I'm going to defend Bush republican's on this? You got the wrong guy bro!. :)

“NBC, Fox and Facebook all said Monday they were pulling an immigration-related ad from President Donald Trump's reelection campaign that CNN had previously called "racist" and declined to run.

The ad ties thousands of migrants fleeing violence in Central America to Luis Bracamontes, an undocumented immigrant who was convicted of killing two Sacramento sheriff's deputies in 2014. It was released as Trump continues to express frustration over a "caravan" of Central American migrants heading toward the United States to seek asylum.”

Maybe there is a bottom in political advertising?
The GOP has no limits, no bottom.

How low must you have gone when even your mouthpiece FOX agrees with CNN and turns you down?

Are you seriously unaware of Fox's management change? Do you know the difference between Fox and FNC? I'm thinking you don't.
What I read from you is excuse -- excuses that say that it is just fine to run racist ads but the mean new Fox management won't let them. What's operative is that you seem fine with running racist ads. Is there no level too low to stoop? As Joseph Nye Welch asked during the McCarthy hearings, "At long last, have you left no sense of decency?"

The way debate works is that should you make an assertion and the assertion is challenged (such as "where are you getting that from'), its up to YOU to support the assertion (usually with a 3rd party cite) or we get to assume the assertion is not true. Just like a court of law, you can say what you want, but if you have no evidence for your statement, no one has to consider it true. The burden of proof is on you.

So we currently get it: there is no truth to the idea that the caravan is comprised 70% of people of military age.

As you now scramble to show us you know what you are talking about, its is currently in doubt, since you like "statistics" as a predictor, contemplate the idea that illegal immigrants actually commit less crime than native born Americans.

https://www.factcheck.org/2018/06/is-illegal-immigration-linked-to-more-or-less-crime/

Then again, if these people are admitted to the US, they would not be illegals. After all, they are coming here to apply for asylum and/or admission.

That would be the "actual cop killer"

  • allowed into the US under President Bush (R),
  • deported under President Obama (D), and
  • released from custody after being apprehended back in the US by Sheriff Joe Arpaio (R),

wouldn't it?

But facts don't matter, only getting the base whipped up in fear!

This is the sad truth, very well said. Unfortunately I doubt any of those engagng in this are gonna see your point..

There's as much, maybe more, on the Left.

Maybe there is a bottom in political advertising?

Not any different than all the BS the left runs in their ads, taking one thing and painting all of the right with that one thing. Hell, Obama is out there claiming that Republicans are wanting to take American's health care away. Did they already forget that Republicans want the greedy health insurance companies to make ungodly profits? They can't do that if Republicans take health care away. How dishonest of Obama and the left to make such a ridiculous claim.

But Obama.......he still scares the right! You people own all three branches and cannotget out of your own way......

There's the lie, again. :lamo

The people who compare slave owners to civil rights leaders, the people who don't see a problem with racial profiling, the people who will support shooting the migrant caravan, the people who have trouble understanding generational poverty unless it affects them personally, the people who have no problem with the president calling for his supporters to attack people are all on one side.

Those don't are another.

What part of the Ad mentioned race? CNN injecting racist allegations into it makes them the real racists.
