U.S. Knew of Saudi Plan to Seize Missing Journalist, Post Says

The Trump administration is complicit in murder ?? Lol ! Uhm no.
The Saudis killed Kashoogi and since Kashoogi is NOT a American citizen, what exactly was Trump supposed to do ?

Some idget reporter asked Trump if he was going to order a FBI investigation into Kashoogi's murder. HE'S NOT A US CITIZEN, AND THIS HAPPENED IN TURKEY

The media is making a big deal about this not because they give a rats ass about Kashoogi, but because they think they can use it to attack Trump.
Oh come-on now.

This xenophobia concerning journalists is getting out-of-hand. The Saudis took-out one of their (Press') own. Of course they will band together. And of course they will look to the leader of the free world and free press to stand for them. And they'll criticism him (Trump), if they believe he's not. Why wouldn't they?

The message is clear. The Trump administration will lie, they will take the side of murderous thugs, they will not stand up for human rights. Is this who you want watching your back?

The intellectual dishonesty is yours, unless it is mere ignorance. The distinction you made between a legal resident and a citizen is irrelevant under the law that mandates protection for both in circumstances like the one at the Saudi embassy.

Can you read? Where is the intellectual dishonesty? I initially informed you, and in a subsequent post I asked you why you changed my quote...As for the latter, don't do that again.

Not sure if you were aware but the WA Post journalist is not an American resident. He is a Saudi Arabian citizen who is a U.S. resident.

The message is clear. The Trump administration will lie, they will take the side of murderous thugs, they will not stand up for human rights. Is this who you want watching your back?

You're spreading rumors.
You're fear-mongering.

Maybe you should try a new hobby... This one is not working for you.

The difference between Jamal Kashoggi and the numerous journalist that have been murdered all over the world is the Left thinks they can earn some political capital by attempting to pin Kashoogi's death on Trump

The problem is indeed his financial interests and they are inextricably tied to his decisions where those interests run into each other. They are no more easily disconnected than the analogous police detective's financial connections to his unwillingness to investigate Bob.
Exactly!

Then add:

1] His failure to disclose his tax returns so the voter could make an informed decision concerning his business interests
2] His propensity to lie & deceive
3] His history of an egotistical and narcissistic nature putting his interests firstly

Let's face it, it was all there for anyone to see.

Again, this has nothing to do with the press coming to the defense of one of their own, and everything to do with a attempt to politicize Kashoggi's murder by blaming it on Trump

I guess WaPo and the NYTs and Democrats couldn't pin the deaths of the journalist below on Trump

I followed your red herrings one hop:

BOGOTA
Ricardo Durán, a well-known Venezuelan newscaster and spokesman for the government of the capital of Caracas, was killed late Tuesday in what authorities are speculating might have been an attempted robbery.

The attorney general’s office said Durán, 40, was outside his home in the neighborhood of Caricuao at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday when he was stopped by three men who attempted to steal his automobile. Durán resisted and was shot dead at the scene, the government said.

Seems different than a U.S. permanent resident, critic of KSM being assassinated, in the Saudi consulate, likely on the orders of the Crown Prince.

But in general, of course American journalists will do more reporting on American journalists based in America writing for American outlets. The idea that they only care because TRUMP!!! is so stupid I can't believe you're seriously asserting it.

James Foley was an American journalist killed during the Obama era. Did the NYT ignore his death?

How is that possible, journalists caring about journalists being killed, when this killing happened under the beloved Obama?

That's a stupid, baseless assertion. And obviously a big part of the problem here is this journalist was 1) an American permanent resident writing for the Washington Post, which as you know is based in America, and 2) his murder wasn't by a bunch of ISIS or other lawless thugs that we're busy killing as fast as we can drop bombs on them and otherwise wipe them off the face of the earth, but likely ordered by the Crown Prince of a so-called ally in the ME. If you can't see the distinction, you're being willfully ignorant.

It's the truth. Where was the MSMs and the Democrats outrage over the murder of those journalist ? What about the 44 journalist murdered in the list below ??

Pathetic is attempting to politicize the Kashoggi's murder as a way to slam Trump.

They did the same when it came to Christie Ford. It's all about slamming Trump.
Politicizing things like these are the left's M/O and they think they are just so clever pulling the wool over our eyes...

If ignorance is bliss, they must be the happiest people on earth.
It always seems to backfire in their general direction though... :fueltofir

He's right. Trump does support murdering autocratic thugs. Putin murdered using a weapon of mass destruction on the soil of our closest ally. Nothing from Trump. Trump praised Philippine President Duerte's policy of promoting extra-judicial killings. Told him he's "doing a great job"! Maybe you should find a new hero to worship.

Bloomberg

So they've known all along, did nothing, and then played dumb and took the side of the Saudis. This administration cannot be trusted, they are complicit in murder. They do not value journalism, or freedom, or doing the right thing. The leader of the free world does not care about human rights.

Yep. And, we know why.

Can you read? Where is the intellectual dishonesty? I initially informed you, and in a subsequent post I asked you why you changed my quote...As for the latter, don't do that again.

There won’t be an occasion to do it again because it didn’t happen a first time, and kindly don’t instruct me what to do. Your dishonesty or ignorance, as I’ve explained, was your implictation of a legal distinction where there is none.

That's a sad story you're telling there... :(
Maybe you should try posting while using factual, verified information.

BUTWHATABOUT!!!!!!!!!

This is dumb even for you. What you're suggesting is that unless we are equally outraged by every death, we cannot legitimately be outraged by any death. Russian bots have better arguments than that.

And people are slamming Trump because he's so far failed in a pretty simple task - clearly and unambiguously condemning an "ally" sending an assassination team to take out a U.S. based journalist and permanent resident.

Etc................................................................

How is that possible, journalists caring about journalists being killed, when this killing happened under the beloved Obama?

How about US Journalist and Media outlets limiting their outrage to the people responsible, the Saudi's. That would be understandable. Nonsense like this thread and the focus on Trump's alleged role in Kashoggi's murder is what I have a problem with.

Trump doesn't care that this guy was murdered and chopped up, he gave his 'okay' for these things to happen when he addressed the General Assembly of the United Nations. He essentially said 'we're going to put our country first above anyone's country and we're going to ignore anything you do'.

For the leader of a country to kidnap, torture and murder a journalist just because he has a dissenting opinion is the height of arrogance and impertinence. MbS knew very well he could murder Jamal Khashoggi in plain sight in front of television cameras if he wanted to and Trump wouldn't do a damned thing about it. Maybe next time he won't bother trying to keep it a secret, why should he?

Right now we're facing a dilemma as a country. The U.S. has been a symbol for the entire world of moral integrity, fairness and accountability. We're actually choosing between allowing dictators all over the world to murder, torture, and oppress whomever they choose to oppress or take a stand against this type of egregious behavior and punish the bad actors in the world. Unfortunately it appears that we've come to that crossroads and we're going to take the low-road by ignoring it and sweeping it under a rug. The U.S. is now the rogue nation that is no longer a nation who favors equality and justice, we're just a nation that will ignore atrocities in favor of wealth.

They did the same when it came to Christie Ford. It's all about slamming Trump.

I don't know - seems like some of the blame should go to Trump who instead of unambiguously condemning the targeted assassination of a U.S. based journalist and permanent resident is busy floating trial balloons about how the Saudis can take "responsibility" while allowing the Crown Prince to deny any knowledge of a hit team that included several of his personal security detail.

No nonsense Pompeo went over there and yukked it up with the alleged people who ordered the assassination. Do you think that sends the right message from a country supposedly protective of a free press? It took essentially the entire civilized world backing out of the conference before Mnuchin finally threw in the towel - seem...appropriate.. to you that France cancelled before the U.S. when it's a U.S. based resident and journalist assassinated?

How does that make Trump COMPLICIT in Kahoggi's murder ? Trump refusing to respond the way the media and his political opponents want him to in no way makes him complicit to murder. You understand that, dont you ? The Left and the Media really dont have a leg to stand on when it comes to criticizing ANYONE for a lack of moral and ethical standards
