The interesting thing is that what the Turks originally reported appears at this point to be true: Khashoggi was tortured and then chopped up.

Oh, I didn't have much doubt that he was killed, that seems pretty par for the course over there. The issue I had was with quick conclusion people were getting to. Of course, Trump isn't going to come out and say the Prince had anything to do with it; not until there was at least some hard evidence. There's no sense damaging a relationship with an ally until the facts come out. I feel like that is Politics 101.

Reports are MBS still has Royals under house arrest.
Appears they (MBS - Father -advisors) keep on digging that hole deeper.

Had a cleaning team in the day before the Turkish team entered the Consulate
Thing is forensics can pick up blood spatter eve when under 7 coats of paint.

Clear that Turkish Intelligence had at least voice transmitters in the Consulate, now rumors over the past week and half are they have video.

Needless to say Turkey does not want to piss of Saudi any more than they have under Erdogan.

Question that rises, is MBS secure as Crown Prince? Probably is but I am sure the ground just got shakier for him.

He made a lot of enemies when appointed CP, and not over changes such as cinemas and women driving. More over Yemen, crackdown on Royals-Businessmen- Companies, add in the crackdown on any dissent, how many are in jails, who are they related to?

Who will be the proverbial sacrificial lambs?
How many lambs?
What story the Saudi's will spin? That will be epic. And no doubt full of flaws.

The excuse of selectively becoming the world's cop when there is a policy change we want to make towards another country is tiresome.

Did the crime happen in the USA? If not, its not our concern. If solving and punishing for crimes in other countries is our job, there are about a billion open cases around the world we better get on right away.

It is not being reported here in the official Saudi press. But most folks, expats and Saudis use a VPN to get around the censors and gov ease droppers.

Yeah, no press freedom there. From what I gather that General cracked down hard on any dissent including message boards.
Reports are people are nervous and make few to no negative comments

The latest story is that he set his apple watch to record and it uploaded the audio to the cloud.

Thus the reason I say very little about the Saudi Royals and I never discuss politics with my Saudi co workers unless they want my opinion on Trump. Then I speak my mind lol

Brutal, even by Saudi standards. Trump has offered to meet the mans fiance. I hope he is honest about meeting her, she should go. The press attention will put enormous pressure on the Saudis. That kind of photo call would do way more than the SOS prancing around the KSA.

That has been shown to be false by tech wizards, 9 - 15 meters is the max distance for uploading to the cloud from the watch if linked to the phone. The service needed for that is also not available in Turkey.
