I think Trump was wondering out loud (as I have) why Warren bothered to mention her American Indian heritage when it was so slight.
Certainly not a talking point she can use.

Clearly she had some advantage to gain from saying she had american indian ancestry.
She probably thought she had more than 1.5%, based on the stories her mother told her. The school believed her as well.

It really isn't as big of a deal as it seems in my opinion.
She wasn't lying, but when someone says "I have an american indian background" you tend to think they AT LEAST of an american indian great-grandparent.

I think she saw an opportunity to capitalize on her ancestry. I think most people here would have done the same, especially if you grew up on tales of your "Cherokee" origins.

But... why ? Why officially tell your employer "hey boss, by the way... I have american indian heritage".

To me, it seems like she had some advantage to gain from it. Especially considering Harvard and Pennsylvania listed her as a "minority" teacher.
There is just no reason for anybody to tell their employer their origins, unless the employer is racist or doing affirmative action.

Unless you have another theory ?

You don't have the context as to what was said. Could be in passing. Most likely bragging about it like I would be if I had it. Until you prove she gained from it your speculation perpetuates the lie that she actually did.

I can't prove it.
I'm just giving my theories. Telling your employer you have native american heritage is pretty strange to be honest. Unless you have something to gain.
That's just my theory, and it's based on relations I have with my employer and the fact that I can't really picture a scenario where it would make sense to give that info to your boss.

Maybe it was just a random conversation she had with the dean.

"Oh yeah, and by the way Charles... I have american indian heritage!"
"Is that right Elizabeth ? Pretty interesting factoid you've got there. You should've told me you were a minority !"

How are we to know she submitted an actual sample of her blood or any other sample? This could be a case of DNA theft. This lab she allegedly used probably helped create Obama's fraudulent long form birth certificate.
