If the DNA shows it, I believe the Stanford professor. Shoot, I believed her anyway. Who cares! My family has Native American blood. But, it is very diluted, since it was four generations ago. Because Trump is such a liar, must we not believe anyone else either?

Her own state doesn't want her. There was a good write up in Boston magazine, but for some reason, the device I'm on wont load it to the point that I can link it...just tried for the last couple minutes...I will try again later.

How did she lie? She said she had Native American ancestry which she does. She never said it was enough to qualify to be registered for a tribe.

It did have a comedy factor to a degree. Especially when Trump kept saying he people in Hawai'i were finding credible stuff then never produced anything.

Warren concedes in the video that she is not enrolled in any tribe, "but my family history is my family history." And she wonders about the motives of those, like Trump, who "have questioned my heritage and my family history."

"Maybe they do it to insult me," she muses. "Maybe they do it to distract from the kinds of changes I'm fighting for."

Warren has not made any claim of tribal citizenship, but what counts as Native American heritage is a question with different answers among the 573 legally recognized tribes in the United States.

Most tribes use their membership rolls dating back decades, requiring a direct descendant or blood quantum. Warren claims Cherokee and Delaware heritage — both of which use membership rolls to determine who qualifies for tribal citizenship, which Warren has never claimed. Cherokee Nation principal chief Bill John Baker is 1/32 Cherokee by blood.

So first off, your 1/16th is a lie. But more to the point, she had never tried to claim tribal citizenship, which has various requirements depending on what tribe your are claiming. I believe she had just said she had Native American ancestry, which is true. It seems fairly dilute by this point, but it exists.

But we'll see if Trump tries to squirm out of the bet he made that Warren wouldn't take a DNA test and it wouldn't show any native american ancestry.

The test is meaningless because the samples used were from Central and South America

Trumpists won't apologize, because they never admit that they're wrong, just like their orange king. As for Warren running, I like her, but I want them to run someone who is basically a shoe in. Run someone who can win. If that's Warren, cool. If not, run someone else. Defeating Tweety should be the top priority.

If she even did, she did so because her mother said she had that heritage. And her mother was right.

I've got Spanish heritage... there is a guy in the mid 1500's in my line that was Spanish.

Why don't you read the context of how it was brought up. That might help you understand. Then again, she made very little deal of it. Its the right that made the big deal about it by lying for years about her.

You seem to have a hard time understanding this, and it's really quite simple.

The evidence is there; i.e., it's strong in that it indicates she has Native American heritage.

That's it's not a lot of Native American heritage, depsite the fact that it's there, upsets you for whatever reason.

She got my Mass vote this year. I believe she could defeat the liar in chief. Lets see if Trump welches on his promise, he seems to have a habit of not paying up.
