NYT bombshell.

New York Times investigation: Trump helped his parents evade taxes, 'including instances of outright fraud'

President Donald Trump helped "his parents dodge taxes," according to an analysis Tuesday from The New York Times, including what the paper calls "instances of outright fraud." Trump received today's equivalent of at least $413 million from his father and much of that money came from schemes to help his parents evade paying taxes on the fortune his father amassed in a 40-year career, according to the report.

The Times' report claims that Trump and his siblings hid millions of dollars in gifts in what the Times describes as a "sham corporation." The story is based on a months-long investigation that involved reviewing more than 100,000 pages of financial documents, interviews with Trump's father's business associates and documents from "public sources -- mortgages and deeds, probate records, financial disclosure reports, regulatory records and civil court files."

Wonder if trump will try to cut the IRS budget now? Oh... too late.

Wonder if the IRS will get a funding cut now? Oh... too late.

If was pretty obvious to most of us that he was a hit or miss businessman, not really successful on his own right. He just played a successful business man on TV on a reality TV show. He is a master at selling snake oil. The 2016 election is evidence that the snake oil market in America is about 62M.

It is no wonder that the Mueller team is largely comprised of people that specialize on financial fraud.

Stand by for this thread to go into an attack on the NY Times. The (10) posts is the over/under on that one..

As other's have mentioned, anyone paying attention is hardly shocked.

His time in Atlantic City tells us everything we need to know about his business practices.

The big thing that bothers me about Trump was that this was all optional. He was born wealthy, the world was his oyster, and he decided being a con man and a financial scam artist was the way to go.

That it has worked out so well for him overall tells anyone watching all they need to know about us.

This Breaking Story has an ominous tone for Chump's future. Chump, a slimy sleazy conman has more trouble coming his way! The GOP Leadership has abandoned their Oversight duties, instead opting to provide cover for Chump. Attorney John Dowd bailed because he recognized Chump's insatiable reliance on bald face lying.

Chump's future looks more bleak than convicted Pedophile and former GOP House Speaker Dennis Hastert.

Chump still has to deal with the testimony of Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg and attorney Michael Cohen.

Let us thank the diligent reporting of the New York Times! Let us look forward to Team Mueller's Report!

Look at ou be brave; too bad I don't believe you. Your guy is going down and it is really getting to you. Gotta be embarassing realizing you believed the reality star image and got suckered?:lamo

Doesn't one actually have to have a million dollars to be a millionaire, or are we all millionaires if we use 16th century values?
According to the Times, Donald was paid huge sums, even as a toddler. According to the article, he was a millionaire by age eight.

I really don’t know the point you are trying to argue.

The main theme is that not only is Donald not the self-made man he claimed but much of it was made though fraud.

Is your point to ignore the facts and pay attention to your theme? The article says no such thing that he was a millionaire by the age of 8, that you just made up.

As for what the article did say: "He began earning money from his father when he was a toddler, and after college graduation his father gave him the equivalent of $1 million a year."

Which figure would you, or young Donald prefer. $1 million a year, or the equivalent of $1 million a year?

I think you may be optimistic. :(

Maybe if you had opened the 2nd link (titled "an analysis Tuesday from the New York Times") in the OP you would have read the following:

By age 3, Mr. Trump was earning $200,000 a year in today’s dollars from his father’s empire. He was a millionaire by age 8. By the time he was 17, his father had given him part ownership of a 52-unit apartment building. Soon after Mr. Trump graduated from college, he was receiving the equivalent of $1 million a year from his father. The money increased with the years, to more than $5 million annually in his 40s and 50s.

On the contrary, the article said such thing:
By age 3, Mr. Trump was earning $200,000 a year in today’s dollars from his father’s empire. He was a millionaire by age 8. A link within a link, oh well.

He still wasn't a millionaire by age 8 because he wasn't earning "today's dollars".

The quote does not say "He still wasn't a millionaire by age 8 because he wasn't earning "today's dollars"." Chump changes the narrative whenever he feels like it! Et tu, Brute?

Huh? What did you say?

Do you know anyone simultaneously hard to understand and disingenuous? Picture a mumbler who talks out of both sides of his or her mouth.

Right. I attempt to evade paying as much tax as I can. I look for all the loopholes.
This isn't news nor is it criminality on Trump's part.

Yes. You could also be alluding to the fact some of that million could be hard to liquidate...and how many 8-year-olds can get loans especially if (and I'm guessing) most of toddler-Trump's money went into a trust?

Oh, boy! You've got him this time, I'm sure! Even though it's the 155th time that you've really got him, I think this one is it!

You're right--leaders telling lies in this country is standard fare. Probably other countries too.

Men like Brennan, Clapper and Bush receive commendations for their lies.

Nah. In some people's minds, Chump always wins! He reminds me of Teflon Don and Whitey Bulger... another one of America's favorite Gangstas!

You guys just stay focused on trying to bring him down, any way possible. I know you'll get there (not!). In the meantime, we'll go forward with all the jobs, great economy, foreign policy, etc... Hey, did you hear, he made a deal with Canada? Not as important to the left as listening to a porn lawyer's latest burp and such, but there are other things going on.

If the NYT is correct then the Trumps committed fraud and tax fraud certainly is a crime.

Have you gone down to our southern border and looked at the Magnificent Wall built by Chump and paid for by Mexico?

Didn't think so!

Have you told off or rounded up a few illegal aliens? Do you have a single Muslim friend?

We can thank the Resistance within the White House for all of our current economic, global and military stability. We can thank you, at least in part, for Chump becoming POTUS! He could shoot someone unprovoked in plain sight of witnesses on Fifth Avenue and still have Supporters!

He isn't the only one changing the narrative.

If you had $107k, would you be a millionaire? The correct answer is NO, you would need $1,000,000 to be a millionaire.
