Yale Classmate Accuses Kavanaugh of ‘Blatant Mischaracterization’ of His Drinking

Two men stated they never witnessed Kavanaugh's drinking to excess. That does not mean he did not. Not being witness to something does not mean it did not happen. It also does not mean Ludington's story is coming apart. I know of many personal habits of people close to me that I have never witnessed. I was surprised to learn these things later.

I think you should just sit down and have a few "ski's", play a little "devil's triangle" and some FFFFFFFourth of July .... when you wake up from that binge, the FBI should be done with its work. In the interim, we are all speaking from ignorance. You might also sharpen up your understanding of the law around lying to Congress.

Kavanaugh testified that sometimes he drank a lot. It is mysterious why this would be a cause for perjury because others also said he sometimes he drank a lot.

At this point, the argument has become that 'just because nobody can show he committed perjury, doesnt mean he didn do it.' Its a very weak and lame argument and is indeed indicative of the case falling apart.

I was addressing the specific story at hand.

That said, the issue with Kavanaugh is still about his character. It began with a credible allegation of assault against him. The credibility of that allegation includes a credible witness and behaviors that are consistent with the witness' testimony. Kavanaugh downplayed his alcohol use before the committee to the point he misrepresented himself, which is a lie, which could be perjury.

Should the FBI investigation confirm Kavanaugh's character as described by Dr. Ford, including that he would let himself get drunk to the point that he could not remember, he should be disqualified from serving on the court.
 
The irony of Democrats complaining about partying in college is ridiculous.

The guy partied at school. While finishing among the top in his class at Yale.

In the meantime, liberals smoke out and drink every day while working in smoothie shops.

This is supposed to change minds about Kavanaugh?

Correct. He testified he did not hear about the specific story. He testified that he knew Ramirez was talking about something.
No perjury.

Kavanaugh has witnesses who support his view on beer drinking.

There was no credible witness with respects to sexual assault. If there was, we wouldnt be talking about his drinking habits from a quarter century ago.

Barack Obama used drugs into his 20s. Dianne Feinstein had a Chinese spy on her staff when she was head of the Intelligence Committee. Corey Booker made up fictional characters as his best friend. Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy.. well we all know what happened there.

Do the Democrats really seek to hold people to a higher standard than did the Puritans?
