Yale Classmate Accuses Kavanaugh of ‘Blatant Mischaracterization’ of His Drinking

I may be a minority here but I wish Ford and Kavanaugh just both go far far away.

I don't care for either one of them.

Both rich white kids living their entitled summers in mom and dad's country club.

I do believe there was a party that both were at in which teens were drinking and groping going on.

His usefulness as a supreme court justice is nil now. Anytime a Democrat is involved in legal question presented to the Supreme Court they will bring up Kavanaugh's impartiality shown in his accusations about all Democrats even including the Clintons.

Am not naïve to know that the Dems would jump on Ford's accusation but saying the Clintons were behind this is showing how is ridiculous.

I don't know, maybe the loudmouth partisans that were sure every new headline would be the end of Donald Trump.

It's conservatives who keep saying it's taking too long. I've never seen a liberal give a specific date to it.

Wonder what condition Chad Ludington was in when he made the observations.

based on the hateful bias of a far left hack? vs what the DC bar (that's lawyers, not drinking establishments in case you might not know the difference) and the ABA says?

I'm sure Jacksin and the other partisans know all about the qualifications for being a judge. Take your law experts and shove em' where the sun don't shine! We got witches to burn!

Yes, conservatives have wanted to end it since it began, but liberals for what seems like forever now have been sure that Mueller is getting ready to drive those final nails in at any moment. It ain't happening.

They summarized the statement from the Yale classmate. What other information were you looking for?
I was looking for evidence of the "blatant mischaracterization" referenced in the title. Turns out it was just click bait to an article meant to demean the judge.

Remember when the NY Times was a respected news organization?

bet big bucks he's a registered Democrat. he's an english professor at NC state-that should suggest leftwing affiliation. Did Kavanaugh deny drinking-he sounded like a frigging beer commercial to me

I think this is just a perception you have of liberals, based on your personal partisan bias. You hate liberals, so assume liberals think bad things.

I happen to be from Scottish descent and enjoy Bourbon... that make me a bad person too?

Bourbon- yes

If you wear underwear under your kilt- HAIL YEAH

Have a series of classmates claiming you got stupid drunk as often as changing your underwear... pretty sure that's a yes...

Help ya any??? :peace

I voted for Bernie Sanders. I am not a conservative by any stretch of the imagination. I actually have no partisan loyalty at all. I'm interested in the truth no matter how inconvenient it might be to my world views.

What evidence? They're reporting on a statement made by a dude. Do you want video? It was 30 years ago. He doesn't have video.

Wasn't Mueller supposed to sink Trump like 6 months ago? I see a lot of bark and no bite.

Ummm no Trump wanted to end it 6 months ago, most of us compare this to the Watergate timeline which was far longer... :peace

damn, that's gonna cause some Kavanaugh haters' heads to resemble those of the martians at the end of "Mars Attacks"

Ahh, it's just everyone else who is biased and partisan. You're immune to such things. Unique among all. Good thing we have you around.

The same ABA that then got troubled by the accusations and wrote to the Judiciary Committee recommending an FBI investigation? That ABA? Gotcha.

You know what, maybe he'll get confirmed... but it is not excluded that if more investigations occur later and disclose irrefutable evidence (the police in the Maryland county where it allegedly happened is considering launching their own investigation, and if the Dems get the House they may start other investigations too and even impeach the judge), the ABA will end up... recommending that Kavanaugh be disbarred. LOL

The one allegation without any evidence to support it...

WASHINGTON — A Yale classmate of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh’s accused him on Sunday of a “blatant mischaracterization” of his drinking while in college, saying that he often saw Judge Kavanaugh “staggering from alcohol consumption.”

The classmate, Chad Ludington, who said he frequently socialized with Judge Kavanaugh as a student, said in a statement that the judge had been untruthful in testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee when he had denied any possibility that he had ever blacked out from drinking.

Mr. Ludington said that Judge Kavanaugh had played down “the degree and frequency” of his drinking, and that the judge had often become “belligerent and aggressive” while intoxicated. Other former classmates have made similar claims.

Compulsive heavy drinking is an Irish trait & the Kavanaughs come from Irish-American stock.

And his girlfriend from High School and a girl he dated in College say the exact opposite

Democrats and scum bag media outlets like the NYT are really grasping at straws here. They've given up on Kavanugh the sex offender and moved on to Kavanugh the drunk

Well you have the big bucks to fritter away... ;)

I sure hope you based your evidence as a prosecutor on more than the above...

I guess in the hyper partisan world of supreme court nominees only life long republicants with video tape certified by the FBI (though not all on the rabid right trust the FBI) are acceptable witnesses... :peace

I'm not unique, but my way does seem to be rare. I embrace the opportunity to be proven wrong because I don't want to believe things that aren't true. When I have to face the fact that I'm wrong I grow from it. It's almost like people actually think they're racking up points for their team here, and that being real by not constantly supporting the team might do damage somehow.

What evidence? They're reporting on a statement made by a dude.
Which they shouldn't do if there's nothing to the statement. This isn't rocket science.

Where did you hear or read that? Link please.

I use Reddit a lot, which is where a huge amount of young left leaning people get their news. The left got hyped about every new thing Mueller said. They are and have been willing to let the investigation go a long time, but don't try to tell me the left hasn't on more than one occasion got overexcited about nothing burgers, believing the end of Trump was in sight.

I've spent time in Dublin pubs & see it for myself, thank you.

You ain't seen nothing yet until you go to Russia or Poland, or Eastern European countries, for that matter ... that is regarding drinking.

I take it if his ancestors were Polish, you would roll out the same BS?

New flash...staggering around is not blacked out. This has been a free PSA. For bonus points, nice racist comment against the Irish there.
The Irish race, like the Mexican race, or the Salvadorian race, except the Mexican and Salcadorian races don't exist when they're being put in prisons at the border. So something racist about the treatment of one "Irish race" but nothing racist about stopping the Somali race from coming into the country. Funky, funky stuff.

;)

I think it depends on the person.

Some people shouldn't drink as much due to how they behave when drunk, IMO.
Although if they're with friends to protect them and others from themselves it's less of an issue.
