Democrats wanted to delay because of Ramirez.... who told her classmates she wasn't sure if it was Kavanaugh, and who has since (via her lawyer) announced she has no intention whatsoever of putting herself in the legal bind of testifying under oath.

And so, the vote is going to be Friday (at current, assuming nothing blows upon Thursday). But, that's a whole three days away, and three days in this ongoing, disgusting circus, follows dog-year rules.

Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, on Tuesday rejected the requests from Democrats to delay a key hearing on the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court....

Also Tuesday, the committee announced that it had tentatively rescheduled a vote on Kavanaugh's nomination for Friday morning. Grassley took to Twitter to add that the hearing was added to the committee's schedule as required by it rules.

"After [hearing] Dr Ford & Judge Kavanaugh’s testimony- if we‘re ready to vote, we will vote," he tweeted. "If we aren't ready, we won't."

Good. No more delays, let the accuser(s) speak, let Kavanaugh respond, then vote.

If Kavanaugh loses, so be it. Trump will quickly appoint a "conservative" woman from his list...and let's see the Dems figure out a way to "Bork" her. :coffeepap:

They'll say she sexually assaulted some guy while she was in college.
Don't put anything past these scoundrels.

Let everyone that wants to be on the record under penalty of felony conviction to say whatever they want to say. Now, not later.

Then vote.

or AMul Thapar-he'd be the first Asian appointee . Let the dems piss off Indian immigrants etc.

They all have their minds made up how they're going to vote, anyway.

Interesting how conservative suddenly are in a hurry to vote, when they held the previous seat hostage for a year.

What's the matter guys? Are you worried the "people's voice" might change the Senate?

I'd rather that than Kavanaugh.

I mean, so long as the woman in question has the judicial qualifications, which isn't Kavanaugh's issue so much.

This is a party line vote and always has been. It’s indicative of all American politics..
