Avenatti says he has witnesses and evidence. Because of the severity of the accusations, the nomination of Kavanaugh needs to be held up until this is put to rest, one way or another. If true, Kavanaugh's nomination should not only be withdrawn, but this should prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law (Maryland has no statute of limitations on felony rape). And, if false, Avenatti needs to be disbarred, and Kavanaugh should sue him for everything he's got.

There won't be any real investigation. This will be another "it is a lie" and that will be the extent of it.

Truth doesn't matter. If something isn't convenient then it is a lie.

As villified as Avenatti is by Trump supporters, I can't imagine that he would come forward with this without a significant amount of evidence. He is telling Trump and Kavanaugh to (paraphrasing) "be careful what you say, because I have evidence." If this is true, Kavanaugh will lose everything, including, quite possibly, his family. Damn.

Truth does matter, but a little bit of evidence goes a long way. So far aside from lip service I have seen nothing from either side. Of course the person making these accusations need to put forth evidence or it means nothing. I also find it hard to believe that Brett Kavanaugh, went around with a "gang" in high school gang raping women.

"Gang rape" is about a big a claim as you can get. If Avenatti fails to deliver then he can say goodbye to his credibility for just about forever. He'll be like Geraldo Rivera for the ten years that followed the Al Capone catacomb episode.

If he does deliver, fine. If he doesn't then whatever because I kind of hate the guy and I wouldn't mind never having to hear his name again.

What would you like to see for evidence? Perhaps the results of an investigation that isn't allowed to happen because it politically inconvenient?
 
I don't put much faith in articles such as the OP linked. The kicker for me was "Avenatti did not disclose any details or identities of his witnesses.". I also dislike "Anonymous " sources.
Till the details and the identities are revealed, till both sides can be questioned, till the evidence is presented, it is a tabloid type article.

Interviews with eyewitnesses would be a good start. Something her lawyer should have already done.

I will not hold my breath.

Actually, he is going to disclose everything in a press conference Wednesday morning. He is representing one of the victims.

Kavanaugh and his friends used Dolphin’s first name, Renate, as code to describe what two of Kavanaugh's classmates said was an inside joke that referenced their claims of sexual encounters with Dolphin.

Going to parties, getting girls very drunk so that they pass out, then the guys take turns with the passed out girls

A couple cases came up because the rapists took pictures and video on their phones.
 
Apparently one of the questions Avenatti is putting out there was Kavanaugh aware of Gang (Train) rapes or sex occurring..... talk about a wide paving..... So now Kavanaugh 's thoughts are to be examined, based on what may or may not have occurred, regardless of his involvement, and he is to be held responsible for other people's actions that may or may not have occurred.....

Personally, I think Avenatti is the poster boy for bottom dwelling sum suckers, and on general principals would love to see him swinging from his own ego-bloated gallows...

Then collect all the money and media and recommend his client to some decent strip clubs in Oregon where she can get some tips based on her fame

So what? This has nothing to do with Kavanaugh at all. It is not evidence in his case.

What do we expect to see. A lawyer stating his client was sexually attacked/abused by Kavenaugh years ago. Want to bet that no physical or collaborating evidence will be presented? Want to bet that Avenatti will not say they will or have filed a criminal complaint with law enforcement? Heck I doubt if they will even say they have filed a civil complaint.

Here is my take. If Kavenaugh is such a predator, then criminal charges need to be filed , like yesterday.
If Kavenaugh is not the predator, then he needs to file charges against the women bringing charges against him.

Seem to me it is beyond a Senate hearing. Time to play it out in the courts.

How does it speak to character if his teammates were commiting gang rapes and he knew and said nothing?

there is no investigation because no one has filed formal charges with the local police.
the FBI did their investigation and found nothing 6 times they did an investigation and found nothing.

again all we have is anonymous rumors of people who might have could have known about something.
you can't tell me that in that town that no one i mean no one has first hand knowledge of said event
and didn't tell their parents or the police.

there is a reason that avenatti shut down his twitter account.

Well it’s really easy to be called a liar when all your YOUR witnesses that you named as having been there deny it.
Some women with allegations are in fact liars. There’s nothing genetically superior about females that means they’re always right.
