Ronald Reagan's daughter defends woman accusing Kavanaugh of sexual assault

Washington (CNN)President Ronald Reagan's daughter Patti Davis wrote about her own sexual assault experience to defend Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

Davis' story was published in an op-ed in The Washington Post on Friday, in which she alleged that she was raped by a music industry executive some 40 years ago when she had thought she would be attending a professional meeting. Much like Ford, Davis said she can't remember some of the details.

The op-ed appeared on the same day Trump publicly questioned why Ford didn't report the alleged assault when it happened.

Davis said she couldn't remember details like the month the incident occurred, nor whether she had declined cocaine that was offered at the meeting.

COMMENT:-

A bit of a pattern emerging here?

Hmmmm?

Can't remember the details, so, of course, it never happened and the announcement is timed for purely political reasons - right?

What pattern is that?

when did this woman first report this assault?

And right on cue, Franklin Graham and Ann Coulter are defending rape.

when did this woman first report this assault?

If you haven't been able to discern the pattern of (reported) sexual assaults and/or reluctance to report for fear of adverse social consequences, then I really don't think that me telling you that there is a pattern of (reported) sexual assaults and/or reluctance to report for fear of adverse social consequences.

I presume that, since the RCC is not the Republican party, your position on the failure of victims of sexual assault by some of the local franchise managers of "RCC Inc." to report their abuse instantaneously is completely different.

The problem with the metoo movement is that they are hyper partisan. If they were equal in their action instead of discriminatory, they would have more credibility.

How does what happened to Patti Davis prove what this woman is saying is true?

A pattern of people acting stupid? Yes, indeed!

How does what happened to Patti Davis prove what this woman is saying is true?

It doesn't.

On the other hand it does establish that it isn't unusual for people NOT to come forward immediately.

The fact that Ms. Ford did not come forward immediately does NOT prove that what she said happened didn't happen.

But you don't want to hear that, do you?

She was raped?

Maybe, maybe not, but Coulter didn't say anything about this case in particular. We all know what she was actually talking about, but she didn't mention Kavanaugh. Yet she defended rape, and I think we know why.
