Ford hasn’t provided any corroborating evidence to support her accusation and even Feinstein is now on record saying she doesn’t know if it’s true. She’s backpeddled on making this accusation under oath. Suspicions are raised.

Kavanaugh's long-time friends (some who've known him for over 35 years) say he is awesome, a decent human being, an all-around nice guy.

Hmm... if someone has friends who know that she has been 'traumatized' then how, exactly, does that make it a slam dunk that Kavanaugh was the one responsible for her sad state of being? The idea that Kavanaugh being a judge on the second highest level federal court was not seen as a (any?) problem by her defies logic. This whole affair smells of a resist, resist, resist ploy.

I didn't get the sense that she was making anything up either. She hasn't been in touch with Ford for some time, but she offered testimony as to her character. She also, however, said Kavanaugh was only an acquaintance, and she offered no evidence at all beyond saying that Ford was a good person.
 
I just can’t wrap my mind around how she doesn’t remember when and where this traumatic moment of her life happened. Those things are usually seared into the memory. Psychologists even have a term for it: flashbulb memories. One of the problems for most people with PTSD is the memories are TOO vivid unless brain injury was involved. I’m not saying it can’t happen, but it is REALLY unusual.

Another Friend saying how trust wroth Ford is. YET no corroborating evidence to edify the accusation.

Honestly I am SURE Ford is a fine human being and a fine mother and probably honest.

BUT I want a friend to come on CNN or MSNBC with additional proof to validate the claim.

We have 64 women that signed a petition that states Kavannah is a great man that would never do something. So by my count

we need 62 more women or men for FORD to equal the same "Friend count" justifying the Individual. YET STILL NO EVIDENCE to edify the accusation NOT ONE BIT?

Ford may be a good person. But people do change and the Ford Jim knew may not be the same person she is today. Ford also probably has been the victim of an attempted assault in her lifetime.

I'm not convinced that this two doors on a bedroom story is legit but it could be. It just seems to the right story at the right time to try and gain some support at a time when Ford is walking back on testifying. I'm not convinced that it was Kav who attempted the assault.

I've embellished a story or two to help a friend out so I know it is done.

There is no way of ever knowing. But Ford did name another guy who was allegedly at the "gathering," and he too has denied the claim. From CNN:

Eric Bruce, who is representing Smyth, authored a letter to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California, the top Democrat on the committee. CNN has obtained a copy of the letter, which includes a quote from Smyth denying seeing any "improper conduct" from Kavanaugh.

"I understand that I have been identified by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as the person she remembers as 'PJ' who supposedly was present at the party she described in her statements to the Washington Post," Smyth says in his statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee. She's suffering PTSD from a rape that she herself says didn't happen? She portrays it as an attempted rape, and not a rape - but yet she's suffering trauma after 35 years?

Political Correctness is very Chameon-like and Hydra-headed. One moment it proclaims that women should be allowed in frontline combat, because they're just as tough as men - yet the next moment it proclaims that women are so fragile that they need to be bent over backwards to, in order to ensure their emotional trauma isn't inflamed, even if it defies basic principles of justice like statute of limitations, presumption of innocence, confronting one's accuser, making firm testimonial depositions.

Sorry, but this is all just political gamesmanship. The Left are trying to lead everyone else on a merry goose chase, while they flip and flop at will, as part of their dodging and weaving for their evasion game.

I'm willing to be sensitive - but only up to a point - I'm not willing to be turned into a chump, in the name of sensitivity.

Excellent - finally this woman (or her friends) have given us a data point that can be checked. All we need to know to know if this is accurate is the basic floorplan for Ford's housing: Does She, in fact, need two exit-doors in her bedroom, so that she can always escape?

Somehow, however, I suspect this information (though it would corroborate both her claims to trauma and the friend's credibility as a character-witness) will not be forthcoming.

She says she was consuming alcohol, but only had "one beer".

I've been to LOTS of parties where I had "one beer (ie: I stuck to the same beer all night)", and I could plausibly see her A) Not wanting to degrade her testimony by accurately reporting how much she had drunk B) Not remembering how much she had drunk, and so reporting a number that seemed "safe" while C) still having her memory effected by the alcohol.

Ok, so I could see how she may not remember where the party was if she was plastered BEFORE going to the party. I have been bar hopping and party hopping before where I was drunk enough that the next morning it all blurred together and I wasn’t even sure how many locations I went to. So if she was already intoxicated before getting there and intoxicated when she left, I can get it. But she isn’t even sure which year it was? Unless she was drunk at all times that whole year then that doesn’t make sense to me.

Maybe if it was a repressed memory and years later the memory surfaced that would make sense. But I don’t think she is claiming that. Maybe if she was roofied, but I don’t think that affects long term memory like that.

Well, that’s part of the problem. It is entirely possible for this to be completely false but for Ford to believe it to be true. It’s not unusual for people to “remember” things in therapy sessions that never actually happened. Recovered memory therapy is infamous for producing such results so I’d be interested to know what techniques her therapist used when this allegation came pouring out in 2012. Ford doesn’t even recall what year this alleged event occurred or even where it occurred. So false memory or otherwise it’s a very fragmented account of an alleged event which has no corroborating evidence to support the notion that it ever actually happened.

According to Blasey, now Christine Blasey Ford, all three had been drinking; but the boys were especially intoxicated and she was able to escape them as they rough-housed on top of her and knocked each other to the floor.

In other words, she's saying she was intoxicated too.....but the boys were "more so."


How can she tell they're MORE INTOXICATED than her? Just because she was able to escape doesn't mean that's accurate. How doe she know she "escaped?" Maybe, she just left.....if that's even accurate as well? Who knows, maybe she passed out!
Maybe the roughhousing intoxicated boys forgot about her in their roughhousing! :lol:

Maybe, she was the aggressor???? She roughhoused them?

Maybe, there was only one boy there - and she was seeing double!


No wonder she doesn't want to testify! Can you just imagine the cross-examination! :mrgreen:

That is it right there. She wanted to testify. They have given her multiple forms to testify with.
she is now refusing them all.
