President Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort is pleading guilty Friday to two criminal charges Friday, under terms of a plea deal that includes his cooperation as a potential witness for special counsel Robert S. Mueller III.

The decision by Manafort to provide evidence in exchange for leniency on sentencing is a stunning development in the long-running probe into whether any Trump associates may have conspired with Russia to influence the 2016 election.
================================================
In the August FOX interview with trump, he confessed to having delt with 'flippers' for 30-40 years. Flippers are criminals who seek leniency by ratting out their bosses. IOW, Trump has said that he has been involved with organized crime for 30-40 years.

The Manafort plea deal: Your questions answered

Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman, had struck a plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller.

The agreement comes just days before Manafort is set to face foreign-lobbying and money-laundering charges in a Washington, D.C., court room. The pact has surprised some, given President Donald Trump’s effusive praise of Manafort’s willingness to fight Mueller in court.
========================================
Trump called Manafort 'a brave man' after his VA convictions. I wonder what he's calling him now?

Paul Manafort Pleads Guilty, Will Cooperate With Mueller Probe

Former campaign chairman is fifth Trump associate to admit wrongdoing in the investigation

Paul Manafort reached an agreement to plead guilty to two criminal charges Friday, and federal prosecutors said in court he had agreed to cooperate with them, developments that could add momentum to special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

The plea heads off a second criminal trial for the former Trump campaign chairman.
===========================================
Manafort has agreed to flip on Trump, Don Jr & everyone else connected to the Trump crime family,

We can safely assume that Manafort was given a deal because he has something very valuable to offer the SC team, or else they wouldn't have offered him one, especially after their slam dunk trails.

So, Cohen and Weisselberg have deals with with the SDNY, then Gates, Flynn, Papa, and now Manafort all have deals with Mueller.

I'd say Trump's chances of getting impeached in the House (should Democrats flip it) just went up to 50/50%.

It finally happened — Paul Manafort flipped.

The former Trump campaign chair appeared in court in Washington on Friday and pleaded guilty to a reduced set of charges. And as part of his plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team, prosecutors said, Manafort agreed to cooperate with the investigation.

It’s enormously important news for the Russia investigation. Many have long speculated that the special counsel’s main aim in charging Manafort with financial and lobbying crimes was to pressure him to “flip” — so he’d agree to provide information related to their true concern of whether the Trump campaign conspired with Russia to interfere with the election.
===============================================
This may be the major nail in Trump's coffin lid - proof of Russian collusion in the campaign from a participant.

Nothing will be done unless the the Dems can flip the house by a good margin and take control of the senate.

Welp...there goes his pardon.

The million dollar question is not whether Manafort has the goods on Trump (he probably doesn't), but whether he has the goods on Stone.

Because if he does, Stone will rat the Trump family out in a heartbeat.

They only need the House to impeach Trump.

The Senate is needed for a removal.

Manafort pleads guilty, reaches 'cooperation agreement'

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is pleading guilty to two federal charges stemming from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation and has reached a "cooperation agreement" as part of the plea deal.

Andrew Weissmann, one of Mueller’s prosecutors, referred to Manafort’s “cooperation agreement” during remarks in court in Washington, D.C., on Friday, where Manafort is expected to enter his plea of guilty.

The details of that cooperation, however, are unclear, including whether Manafort would be cooperating with Mueller's probe or the Justice Department.

Manafort is pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy against the United States and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice by witness tampering.
=========================================================================
That conspiracy count comes with a 5 year penalty.

...."Flipper" is also a term for people who purchase houses, upgrade them, and then try to sell at a profit... Trump being in the Real Estate business.

Look, Trump is an amoral, narcissistic, moron. But I'd like you to source that final assessment, or admit you have gone way out on a limb.

I think he has the goods at least on Don Jr. who is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Here you go: Trump rips Cohen for 'flipping,' praises Manafort in exclusive FNC interview | Fox News. He's talking about criminals, not condos.

'He continued: “For 30, 40 years I’ve been watching flippers. Everything’s wonderful and then they get 10 years in jail and they—they flip on whoever the next highest one is, or as high as you can go.”

Oh you can't really say that. The way mid terms are looking and with these kind of developments the GOP will try and save as much of the ship as they can, a quick divorce from Trump as head of the party would do them much good. The hardcore TRupmlings are at worst 25% of America, the GOP is not dumb enough to follow him down the drain.

The GOP is Trump. Trump didn't make the Republican Party, the Republican Party made him.

I'm expecting at least an hour delay but am salivating at the lunatic defenses to come, and the false bravado of the TRumplings to start in this thread. This one has to be definitely a hard one for them.:roll::lamo

Impeach and no conviction will only embolden Trump..........

I disagree that multiple investigations, armed with full subpoena power and the removal of his power to grant pardons, will give him reason to feel emboldened on much of anything.

Manafort flips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOO!!!!! WOOOOO!!!!!!

What a way to start the weekend!!!!!

Oh happy day!!!!!!!!!!!

Trump better start deciding which imaginary health problem he is going to use when he resigns next year because the writing is on the wall.

His main guy in the early part of the campaign, the guy who knows where the Russian conspiracies are buried, just agreed to spill his guts. No pardon to save him.
