Democrats feel there is enough bad information attached to Kavanaugh to send to the FBI???? WTF???

Senate Democrats have referred information concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the FBI, they said Thursday, and called for the Judiciary Committee to delay a vote.
"I have received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court," Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-California, said in a statement. "That individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further, and I have honored that decision," she said.
"I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities," she added.

Do you smell that? Its desperation.

Also in the letter is the proof that Mitt Romney didn't pay his taxes and Trump holds dual US-Russia citizenship.

At the same time, I've been given information from a confidential source that Diane knowingly employed a Chinese spy for 20+ years and keeps her housekeeper tied up in the basement. I've forwarded this secret information to Sam the butcher.

The Dem’s media strategy for this letter is a little shady. If they didn’t think it appropriate to reveal the nature of the letter’s contents, why divulge that they’ve passed it along at all? That said, I initially supported Kavanaugh’s nomination and think he’s an intelligent jurist who passes the bar of qualification (which should be the only real qualifications for Federal judges). But he himself has started to come across as fairly evasive and insincere. Maybe the Dems have just waged a successful campaign against him, but he’s the least supported nominee since Clarence Thomas (excluding Harriet Miers, who didn’t make it). Unless this letter reveals him to be somehow compromised (financial trouble, gambling, etc.) he’ll still likely get 55 or so votes.

My thoughts exactly. Even on Kavanaugh at first. I was fine with him. He was a good choice, yet it doesn't appear he is vetted well enough.

Probably too late to swap him out before the election, so I suppose the GOP better hope that the accusation isn't serious. Now seeing in the grapevine that it pertains to a sexual encounter in High School (so 40 or so years ago), but nothing's being reliably sourced. Apparently an accuser has secured legal representation and plans to #metoo him. Unless he did something absolutely heinous, I can't imagine a forty year-old incident moving the needle that much. And anything the FBI would be investigating would have to be much more recent than that, so if it does relate to the HS incident, it'd have to be some kind of intimidation, threat, bribe, or other form of coverup.

He'd pretty much need to be a Weinstein for it to derail his nomination at this point. I'd say at least 25 women would have to come forward. NOW. Unless if the accusation is much more serious than groping.

EDIT: If he bribed the High school incident to go away in any way during this process. That would be BAD.

Yep, it's "sexual misconduct." If this is anything short of forcible rape then it isn't going to have any impact on his confirmation. There is a one in three chance that Democrats retake the Senate, and no way in hell is McConell going to take that chance. Unless there is a video of Kavanaugh participating in a snuff film, that guy's going to the Supreme Court.

I have Just Received important information showing that Senator Fienstien may be guilty of Espionage against the United States, and should therefore be charged and sent to prison. I can't tell any of you what the particulars are, or where I got it from, or anything else you could use to judge whether or not it is legitimate, but I think you should all take it into account. While this matter plays itself out, due to the severity of the accusation, obviously Senator Fienstein should not be allowed to cast votes in the U.S. Senate.

Send your evidence to the FBI, and if they agree that it's important enough to open a criminal investigation into, we can discuss that. That said, I'm not aware of criminal investigations preventing the duties of elected politicians.

He is going to the SC but that doesn't mean he stays there. I don't know the exact process but I am certain dems have a plan when back in power and seemingly have reasons to remove him. I don't think it has ever been done but neither has a lot of the crap going on these days.

That would be impeachment, and that would appear to follow the same process for impeaching a sitting President.

Samuel Chase was impeached and acquitted.

It would involve the same process prescribed in Article I of the Constitution that's been used against other high-ranking officials--including one SCOTUS Justice (Samuel Chase, acquitted) and several other federal judges and officials--the exception being the POTUS, whose process is almost identical save the fact that his trial in the Senate has to be presided over by the Chief Justice of the United States. Five federal judges have been impeached in the modern error (since the 1980s). Four were ultimately convicted (removed) and one resigned in the face of certain conviction. The most recent were in 2009 and 2010.

Look at you. You're so giddy, you're about to pee yourself.

This is the same nothing BS you guys have been spewing for two years.

It's criminal how your Democrats are handling themselves in this "hearing". It's desperate and pathetic.

I figured it would have something to do with his mysterious 200k "baseball tickets" debt-no-more miracle right after Trump's election "victory".

That was my first mind as well--especially given the pointed questions/accusations which suggested he may have been a heavy gambler. Either way, this is shaping up to be the most contentious nomination since Thomas (no one took Miers seriously). He'd be dead in the water if not for the nuclear option. Seems like his vetting could have been a bit more exhaustive.

You were so eager to have that catharsis that you didn't even comprehend my post.

I'm beginning to wonder just how much money all this Tweenkie ****in' horse-**** is costing the USA?
Collusion that doesn't exist. Investigations that do nothing but find a few guilty of tax issues. Russian and other nationality hackers and social media hi-jinx being stopped...as if anyone could stop it all...

Yessiree Bob. These SJWs are getting expensive to indulge.
Maybe its past time to just shut them down?

Collusion happened.

You sound upset. Maybe next time you shouldn't nominate an unethical, immoral huckster whose spent his life cutting corners, screwing people over, and rubbing elbows with NY/NJ "gaming" and "construction" personalities (read: mob) to the presidency. He's scum and he, quite predictably, staffed his campaign and administration with scum. Apparently he's even capable of digging up a scummy appeals court judge for nomination to the SCOTUS. It's like he just attracts the worst people. And that's why he and his team remain under the microscope of multiple investigations by multiple entities and are always in the news for something shady.

You reap what you sow. Deal with it.

According to a person familiar with the matter, the FBI does not now plan to launch a criminal investigation of the matter, which would normally be handled by local authorities, if it was within the statute of limitations. The FBI instead passed the material to the White House, as an update to Kavanaugh's background check, which already had been completed, the person said. The move is similar to what the bureau did when allegations were leveled against former White House aide Rob Porter.

An FBI official said, "Upon receipt of the information on the night of September 12, we included it as part of Judge Kavanaugh's background file, as per the standard process."

The Justice Department declined to comment, and Kavanaugh did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Looks like Republicans can stop crapping themselves.

Where? I mean...you've managed to prove this?
Do tell.

The Trump Tower meeting was collusion between the Trump Campaign and Russia.

1. In response to your next question, the answer is "Collusion is not a legal term, so no, nobody was charged for collusion, and nobody will be because, again, collusion is not a legal term. What remains to be seen is which laws, if any, were broken in the process.

2. To answer to your response after that, the answer is "Yes, the trump tower meeting was collusion. If you say it isn't, then you need to look up the meaning of 'collusion.'"

3. To answer your next response, the answer is "I said the 'Trump Campaign,' not Trump himself."

4. To answer your inevitable statement that there was nothing wrong with the meeting, the answer is "If there was nothing wrong with the meeting, then you need to address why trump and everybody associated with the meeting lied about the meeting and tried to obscure its existence."

5. To answer your next claim, "Yes, the stories kept changing."
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/pol...eeting-n900191

6. To answer your inevitable response that there was nothing wrong with getting damaging info on Clinton, the answer is "Then why did he and Donald Jr. claim for nearly a year that it was about adoptions?"

7. To answer your claim that it doesn't matter anyway because the Russians didn't deliver the damaging info on Clinton, the answer is "You don't know that."

8. To answer your claim that there were no crimes committed during collusion because nobody was charged, the answer is, "the Special Counsel's investigation isn't over." This will be the same response to any question concerning why there hasn't already been some specific outcome to the investigation you're thinking of.

9. To answer your claim that there's no evidence of a crime, the answer is, "The Special Counsel isn't keeping the public directly apprised of the status of his investigation, and therefore he isn't sharing that evidence with us. We will learn what the evidence is (if there is any) when the completed report is made public." This will be the same answer to any question concerning any development within the investigation.

Hope that helps.
