[W:309]Most deported parents decline reunification with their children, saying it's too dangerous

Re: Most deported parents decline reunification with their children, saying it's too dangerous in th

How are you fighting for your country? Are you standing in front of tanks? When did that occur and where?

I served in our military along with more than half my family members going back to ww1. I have family members right now serving in the military. You are clueless.

Re: The cases are more similar than different

We could open another thread on this. Because if we're talking about the US here, the British colonists were fleeing - political & religious persecution, political chaos, a chance to own land & hopefully prosper. The main difference is that they were willing to put themselves @ risk in crossing the Atlantic, & then braving weather, learning how to raise crops, building housing & forts, negotiating with the Native People, & etc. They took help from the Native Peoples, & relied upon more support & replacements from Europe - but in the end, they prospered.

The difference is we made a great country. We fought the most powerful super power of the day for our freedom. We created this great country. They have done nothing but make a ####hole out of their country. They are losers who run instead of fight for their freedom. A lot of the first people who came to this country were given land and were already wealthy.

So you think that impresses the mother, daughter and granddaughter and great granddaughter of combat veterans? The only reason I didnt serve was vecause my lung capacity disqualified me. My great grandfather was killed in action. I dont care if you served or not...what happened in Afghanistan is causing 1 out of every 23 to commit suicide...so Im not the one who is clueless. You with all your service have not seen half of what I have

It wasnt their country...it was English who ran instead of fighting and as cowards are raped women, murdered children and purposefully tortured natives...so, if that is what you are proud of...

You asked and I supplied the facts. Sorry you can't handle that.

Lost history

There's a lot of history missing there. The British colonies that became the US weren't fighting alone, we had help from France & the Netherlands, for their own reasons. Was Britain a superpower? They were in terms of naval power, their army has always been - by design - secondary to their navy.

The first people in what became the US were the Native Peoples, & then maybe the Vikings. & then the Spanish, French & Netherlands (& there are other claimants). The Spanish gave land grants to individuals & communities in their territories, but those mostly disappeared in the US legal system after the Mexican American War (although the peace treaty was supposed to guarantee those grants.)

Um, what precisely is it that I cannot handle? What I will not stand for is soldiers disgracing themselves by sinking to third world tactics.

You forgot the War of 1812. If it were not for assistance from France we would still be an English colony.

Re: Most deported parents decline reunification with their children, saying it's too dangerous in th

Why not see what areas we are missing people on, put those people on a 3 year program, request they learn how to do X jobs, then import them as skilled labor. Aren't we looking to fill jobs anyways?

Super economy and all.

Sent from Trump Plaza's basement using Putin's MacBook.

Why don't we do that with our own citizens?

The fact remains that we created this country and they have created the nightmare they are running from. I have relatives right now fighting for this country. Sorry but this is the home of the brave not the cowards. Of course if we get enough cowards here we will have the same problem they have.

Re: Most deported parents decline reunification with their children, saying it's too dangerous in th

Problem is the labor pool is pretty low and many dont want such an option

If someone offered me free training to be an electrician, hvac, or welder, or something of the like, I'd take it, and I have a pretty good job as it is.

I say to my wife all the time...if I had to pick up a trade tomorrow, I would become a welder. The pay and training are pretty excellent right now.

Ask your president why not a single member of his family served and he paid his way out of Vietnam...coward indeed

Provided it long ago

No... You said "watch the video" and that someone in Mexico "said" it.

What law, decree, executive order directed the US to pay Mexico 10K a head to DENY asylum requests?

Your quote: "We are paying Mexico 10k a person to not hear the asylum petition and deport them....and there is nothing in our law requiring they seek asylum in Mexico"

They also serve

Yah, the people most trying to get away from the nightmare are not the movers & shakers in that society. & most people here in the US have or have had relatives in the military or spooks (although the military possibility has been narrowing since we instituted a volunteer military). I have had those relatives too, & likely some of the cousins & more distant kin are there now.

I will point out that coward is not a political nor governmental term, & doesn't advance any argument @ all.

when did being in the military become a requirement for the presidency?

I volunteered. Even during the draft a lot of people volunteered. The fact remains that freedom isn't free. We have had to fight for the freedom we enjoy. We are currently fighting for that freedom. Unless we continue to fight for our freedom we will lose it. Sorry but if these people want freedom they need to learn that you have to fight for it. I have no pity for people wanting everything given to them. Go back to your country and fight for your freedom. I have no problem fighting along side you. But don't expect me to fight for you.
