You think the NYT just made up what is, realistically, a historic op-ed that, if faked, would utterly destroy the paper’s reputation???

I mean, it’s not like this hasn’t been reported throughout the Trump presidency that this kind of thing has been happening since day 1 of the administration.

I don’t even think most people in the Trump admin are denying that it’s real. It takes a serious dedication to delusional thinking to say that this op-ed is just ‘made up’.

Well, Bigfoot isn't a senior Trump official so I don't think you would win the kitty with your guess. Although, this is Trump, a stable genius, so a wild guess may be valid.

I think you are missing out on a lot of American history. Enough of the world knows different.

Besides, the issue involves a constant babysitting of his inexperienced idiocy, not a coup. One only needs to measure his foreign policy fiasco to see that he isn't very interested in U.S. interests. One wonders how much money is being spent on anti-anxiety medication among foreign policy writers/advisers and the Pentagon alone.

If its Pence, this borders on a coup. Whoever it is should get some balls and report it to Congress. Going thru the press is rather slimy.

Well, the thing is, it's 'too good to be true' type of thing. Other people know 'loadstar' is used by a specific person, so I can see them using it to throw the scent of them. I can also see someone wanting to yank the media's chain as a way to troll them.

I agree that 'lodestar' was used to implicate Pence, or, it could be someone in Pence's sphere who's picked up on the verbiage, as happens when you work with people.

Whoever it is, they should come forward. I don't believe for a second that they're scared of losing their job. The book deal alone will make them a ton of money. So, that's the part that smells to me.

it's possible, but i tend to doubt it. Pence is playing the waiting game, IMO. could be that someone wanted to deflect some suspicion his way and chose the word for that reason. either way, whoever it is definitely got under the mad king's orange skin.
