Apparently, not everyone is ready for Louis to make a comeback.

C.K. has returned to the stage for an unannounced set at New York’s Comedy Cellar. He delivered a 15-minute performance on Sunday that the comedy club’s owner, Noam Dworman, told the Times consisted of “typical Louis C.K. stuff.”

Dworman said C.K. was greeted with an ovation by the sold-out crowd. However, many others spoke out against C.K.’s return on social media.

Personally, it doesn't bother me. At some point, he was going to have to test the waters and see if people were ready for him to make a return.

So what say you? Do you think it has been long enough for Louis C.K. to attempt a return to the public eye and do some comedy?

I think it will have less to do with the amount of time, and more to do with how he goes about it. If he can be genuinely apologetic, and self deprecating he might be able to pull it off.
 
What exactly is he accused of? Asking someone if he can jerk off in front of them? And jerking off over the phone with someone?

Sorry, but I just can't get outraged over this. If he really hurt somebody or forced himself and I haven't heard of it I'm sorry and will change my opinion. But he's a comedian. These behaviors shouldn't stop him from being a comedian. That's just silliness.

I think at the time the accusations first came up, he was the only person accused who admitted fault. He seemed genuinely remorseful and apologetic. I am interested to see how he re-enters the public eye.

Nobody is supposed to ever be allowed to come back from #METOO charges.

The sadism runs strong with this sucky crowd.

Love Louis CK, although it sounds like he’s a pretty awful guy in real life.

But he’s a great comedian, and I really hate all the virtue signaling of the people all upset with him and his act.

I’ve seen whining about him talking about Parkland victims, etc.. but his type of comedy needs to be edgy to be funny- and wickedly smart.

I don’t get the ‘zero tolerance’ for his performances. If you think he’s awful, don’t watch.

But this virtue signaling that he should be shunned from performing forever is getting old.

It’s not shunning someone to express my opinion. Why am I required to remain silent?

The reason this behavior is so pervasive is that has been tolerated for, literally, all of human history. It will never stop unless there are serious consequences.
 
I think he did his time commensurate with what he did, it's time to come back. From what I've read about him over the years he's actually a really decent guy, minus the sexploitation stuff.

Just seems to me that it’s Louis CKs deal. The people that actually deal with him in person are the ones who have to grapple with it.

I don’t know why I should care.

Do you realize that if you're gonna start METOO-ing anyone who does anything a little untoward, that most of the music and entertainment personalities out there should be targeted and destroyed? Really man...grow up a bit.

I'm not trying to defend what CK did. I'm saying this is "kiddie-porn" compared to some of the things I've seen.
Fame does weird things to both the famous and the groupies. And Deuce...more often that not, it's the groupies who instigate things.

This is a non-issue.
 
He should feel free to work. Rooms should feel free to not book him. People should feel free to go or not go and see his shows. FFS...the tendency of people to feel indignant and outraged over this **** is out of control.

Im definitely concerned about 20-30 million illegal immigrants and the impact it has on our country and the corrupt ****s who refuse to follow US immigration law. I suspect anyone with a pulse and a measurable IQ would recognize that the immigration issue and Luis CK arent in the same ball park.
