It’s a judicial coup with the express intent of forcing a democratic congress, they’ll demand democratic gerrymandering for the new map. Since Kavanaugh will be confirmed state officials should simply reject the court’s authority, the constitution is clear, the sole authority is the state legislature and they can draw maps however they want for any reason

North Carolina is not deep south."Of course it is," said Gomer to Guber. "Hootey-hoot! Hootey-hoot!"
North Carolina is not deep south.
Sure it is. And on May 20, 1861 they even tried to secede.

Whatever, remain ignorant. Makes no difference to me.
Not dumb, just ignorant. You must think you're talking to dumb Yankees.
What costs would you make them pay?Seriously?
If the districts are unfair to the voters, and were made that way intentionally by those in power, I cannot fathom why it would be OK to leave the rules unfair just because it ISN'T THE SCHEDULED TIME TO CHANGE THEM!
What the hell?!?
If I had my way they'd fix them NOW, and make those who intentionally made them unfair pay the costs of doing so.

Whatever costs needed to redraw districts and even re-do elections - costs directly caused by their abuse of the power they were entrusted with. What costs would you make them pay?

Lol dems have been doing it for years too. As another posted already pointed out, take a look at MDs districts.
Also I am completely entitled to offer a but to the Democrats partisan solution that does not fix gerrymandering.

Kavanaugh hasn't been seated, yet.
OK I wasn't sure if you meant financial cost or it was meant in a more consequently sense. I'm glad your talking money. I had a problem with it being meant the other wayWhatever costs needed to redraw districts and even re-do elections - costs directly caused by their abuse of the power they were entrusted with.
That's fair. As i said I don't object to the complaint. My objection is their solution.I won't accept this kind of **** from anyone, I don't care what party they call themselves.
Yes, but NC officials should drag their feet on complying until after the election since an appeal is likely to be favorable. The appeals court clearly waited until the SCOTUS couldn’t overrule them and too close to the election for a detailed process, they could’ve ruled this months ago
The court would just draw their own map, or use an old one. There are lots of less than perfect alternatives that are better than what I scheduled to happen that they could choose.
How would you like to be campaigning for a year, then with 100 days to go your area gets changed?
Does that sound right to you?
The entire idea of gerrymandering needs to be erased a fair election should be held not Politicians bickering over whom can screw over the voters of the other American party.
As a Democrat running in a God-forsaken southern state I would love it. It sounds totally right to me.
Meanwhile McCain last worked last December and they wont get around to electing a new Senator till sometime in 2020, and I keep getting told that is JUST FINE AND DANDY.
I got whiplash I tell ya between the FAST/SLOW AS MUD thing we do.
