Cohen's such a piece of ****. I had to get a chuckle when he briefly became a darling of the media and some liberals because he could damage Trump. Newsflash to everyone: Most of the people in a position to hurt Trump are/were close to Trump, and all of the people close to Trump are pieces of ****. We can take joy when they stab him in the back, but never forget what they are. They aren't flipping on him out of a sense of decency or a reverence for justice. They're flipping when they find themselves in deep caca.

I will not argue with you, disagree with you, or tell you that you are wrong. I suspect you are right.

And as long as Cohen can provide information which helps bring Trump down - its all good with me and I make no apologies for feeling that way.

The question is does Cohen know anything about the election to trade for a reduced sentence.

That's how federal prosecution WORKS now. They catch peripheral players and lean on them to rat up the chain.

It is amusing that the party most strident in support of the drug war and the patriot act are now being hoist on their own petards.

How's that whirlwind feel?

Cohen managed Swampys money. He's the guy I picture every time someone offers to send me money through their "money manager" as long as I open up a bank account under my name. "It'll just take a few seconds. There's no other way I can do it otherwise."

The presidents lawyer is going to do jail time for actions he took on the president's behalf with the president's knowledge. That almost certainly implicates Trump in a criminal conspiracy. The question is going to quickly move from is Trump guilty to can Trump be prosecuted.

It is to Cohens advantage to do it that way since that federal district office has a long standing policy that after you have been charged, any plea deal must include the top or most serious count you have been charged with.

At least that is what a former prosecutor from the Souther District of New York said on TV in the last hour.
 
I created this thread a little before 1 PM. It's almost 4 PM, and the Cult members on this forum are nowhere to be found. Crickets from the cult members on this forum. Wow.. That is simply staggering. I wonder what it must feel like to be a Swamp supporter this week.

That is the big question. It would be nice to see something substantial come from this investigation in regards to Trump.

One of the conditions is accepting responsibility for your crimes.

Which makes the crime "real" for purposes of conspiracy indictments, iirc.

Absolutely. The way I see it is trump operates like the mafia. Instead of hiring "the best people" like he claims, he instead tried to surround himself with loyalists to work for him. And it's just hilarious to see how fast that loyalty crumbles in such structures. Trump has no loyalty to anyone but expects it from everyone else. He's the first person who when he doesn't get his way is throwing tantrums and name-calling the person he held in high regard just the day before.

So I just sit back and enjoy the **** show of this administration falling apart that anyone with two working brain cells knew was coming.

Cohen was never a “darling” of liberals. We’ve been calling him a scumbag mob lawyer for a long ass time. Conservatives came out of the woodwork to defend poor Cohen from the “witch hunt.”
 
Cohen’s plea directly implicates Trump in a felony.
