It's looking likely that Cohen, had paid off Stormy Daniels using campaign finances and as The New York Times notes that it is "still possible" that Cohen could plead guilty and decide to cooperate with federal prosecutors and the Mueller investigation.

(CNN)Federal investigators examining whether President Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen committed bank and tax fraud are looking at more than $20 million in loans obtained for his and his family's taxi companies, The New York Times reported Sunday night, citing people familiar with the matter.

Authorities are also looking into whether Cohen broke campaign finance or other laws in coordinating hush money for women who alleged that they had affairs with Trump. The inquiry is at the end stage, and prosecutors are considering filing charges by the end of this month, two of the people told the newspaper.

What's to listen to? Cohen appears to be in deep do-do. Unless Trump was involved in Cohen's alleged crooked taxi companies, yours is a moot point.

Cohen managed Swampys money. Not a moot point at all. Imagine how bad Swampy is if his personal lawyer is being investigated for $20 Million in bank fraud, and his current lawyer has no credibility. Swampy either has very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, bad judge in character or he is guilty as sin. There is no spinning this any longer. Those are your only two options and they both suck! Admit it.

I make threads b/c there is a large portion of this forum that either does not keep up with breaking news or they don't know what's going on.

My spin has usually been right. Unlike cowards who refuse to speculate like you and then complain when those of us who did speculate got it right. You can't even say that a guy who had this guy for a lawyer for ten years might possibly be corrupt??? Do you honestly think a guy who hired a guy like Cohen is innocent??? Afraid not bud.

It would be a very big coincidence if many of these trump associates were dirty tricksters and trump was not caught up in some of the same criminal behavior. Of course I believe in coincidences but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see what’s going on here. All of these fraudsters seem to have one thing in common: they were somehow associated with Trump at one point. Trump is the common denominator. Looks pretty fishy to me - that’s all I’m sayin’. Either trump is an innocent bystander (and idiot) for associating with all these dudes (Manafort, Gates, Cohen, probably Stone soon, etc) or he is just like them. Time will tell.

Why do you assume there is nothing? Are you on the prosecutors’ team? Who knows what they have so far. Fact is, investigation is still in progress. The “nothing” part is just your assumption based on... what, exactly?

Because if the FAILED INTELLIGENTSIA! had come up with anything we would know about it, because the sooner we get rid of Trump the sooner everything goes back to the GOOD OLD DAYS these idiots think.

I’ve got news for you. We wouldn’t know, because federal investigations do not leak the evidence, testimony, etc of their investigation to the public until they are ready to do so or until the investigation has come to a close, or charges are brought. Please stop acting like you know everything about these investigations, because you do not. And neither do I. We know nothing.

Three years? Mueller started his Special Counsel probe started in May, 2017, about 15 months ago.

He took in the work of investigations that had been running for long before, when he came onto the job he said "Show me everything you have done so far", he consumed all of that, and then decided which direction he wanted to go. At most it took him two months to get up to speed.

Nevertheless, you were mistaken when you implied that Mueller's investigation had been ongoing for three years; it has, in fact, been 15 months, and you have absolutely no idea how long any other investigation into the Russia election meddling had been going on because 1) that information has never been made public, and 2) the election itself was less than two years ago.

Exaggeration is never your friend when everyone you are trying to convince has access to google, should their own memory fail.

Doesn't matter. You've been convinced by propaganda masters that this investigation is taking a long time and therefore they have nothing. Investigations like this always take a long time.

Well, if Cohen used campaign funds to pay off the porn stars at behest of the president, so he is. Cohen doesn't want to be 'thrown underneath the bus'.
