WASHINGTON — In at least three voluntary interviews with investigators that totaled 30 hours over the past nine months, Mr. McGahn described the president’s furor toward the Russia investigation and the ways in which he urged Mr. McGahn to respond to it. He provided the investigators examining whether Mr. Trump obstructed justice a clear view of the president’s most intimate moments with his lawyer.

Among them were Mr. Trump’s comments and actions during the firing of the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, and Mr. Trump’s obsession with putting a loyalist in charge of the inquiry, including his repeated urging of Attorney General Jeff Sessions to claim oversight of it. Mr. McGahn was also centrally involved in Mr. Trump’s attempts to fire the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, which investigators might not have discovered without him.

Well, Mueller has proven that running a propaganda operation against The United States is an indictable crime. So far, he's indicted 25, or 26 foreign mother****ers for propaganda crimes. Facebook is banning foreigners who launch propaganda pages on that site. Whether, or non-citizens of The United States can bombard U.S. based websites with propaganda is a serious quetion, given past indictments. Foreigners launching a propaganda operation to get President Trump voted out is no different than foreigners launching a proaganda operation to get President Trump voted in. It's electoral influence, either way.

But...what if those foreigners are trying to actively influence United Stated politics?

Recently, we've been informed (indirectly at least) that such influence is a crime.

This is great reporting, but it introduces as many questions as it provides answers.

On one hand, this tells us that the President has insisted in being an open book, per the advise of Cobb and Dowd. Ordinarily that would seem to be a good thing and a demonstration that the President was not in serious legal jeopardy--- if the President didn't have damaging information about himself shared by his legal counsel. McGahn tells investigators he had not witnessed the President peruse anything beyond his legal scope, but his purported defense of the Office of the President seems questionable to me. Maybe he is just concerned about precedent, but the reporting seems to signal that there may be more than that. Why would he bother comparing himself to Dean as his relationship with the President waned if he was primarily concerned about precedent?
