Class*canceled after adults threaten 'open hunting seasons' on 12-year-old transgender Oklahoma girl

I should contact my Brothers in the Iron Guardian MC (also known as BACA, Bikers Against Child Abuse). Maybe we could take a ride up there and have lunch with her in the school cafeteria.
I'm pretty damn sure that the parents would hear about it from their kids.

It's disheartening to me, though not surprising, that the news source is referring to a male as "she".

I'm also curious if we aren't hearing the whole story. They reported that the kid was peeking over bathroom stalls at one time. That may be what people are up in arms about, that their kids might be in danger from it. I wish news agencies were trustworthy enough not to be sensational and cherry pick the parts of the story, but that's not the reality.

If someone is Trans, referring to them by their biological sex is, just sad. However we only have the outrage side of the story and not a clear picture of everything that is going on with this story, not that I can think of anything that could excuse the adults behavior.

There are a lot of conservatives who have issues with transgender people and bathroom usage. Many conservatives have made transgender bathroom usage political issues. This person or people who posted this are clearly influenced by the political hatred toward transgenders that is at least partially fueled by bathroom usage. This isn't about the OP making it about conservatives - conservatives in general made this issue political. The treatment of transgender and homosexuals has become political. It seems silly to exclude politically motivated behaviors simply because it is abhorrent and inconvenient. If conservatives do not wish to be viewed as having hatred toward transgenders then perhaps conservatives should stop with the hatred toward transgender people.

The people who made threats to the transgender child were deplorable, regardless of their political lean.

But notice in my OP I said a "a few", not all. Whereas your statement above implies that all Liberals attack MAGA hat wearers.

Blanket statements regarding groups of people are rarely accurate.

I agree they went over the top. The bigger complaint came from the fact that this student was looking under the girl stalls.
They have had a complaint filed against them before.

Couple of things -- we know she didn't go into the girl's bathroom by mistake, those doors are labeled after all, and if she was looking for a bathroom, she was looking for signs.

So -- she went into the girl's bathroom because she feels like a girl -- and -- by gawd, she has every fricking right to do that.

Those emasculated males who made the threatening comments -- I'd be willing to bet they're insecure pantywaists that get their jollies hitting their women. I ran into a man like that once when I was very young. I learned what insecure assholes some men can be and he learned just how hard a woman can hit.

If I was the girl's parent, I'd pull her out and homeschool her. And, I'd file a civil suit against every asshole that threatened her. Then, I'd get a law passed that permited trans to go to the bathrooms of the sex they identify with.

that is what happened in their previous school. they evidently transferred to a different one because of a complaint that they were
looking under bathroom stalls while other girls were in there.

while that is no excuse to threaten someone it is an issue.

I have a strong feeling that that complaint was total BS. It sounds like a slander by people who don't like or understand the situation.

"Strong feelings" are detrimental to forming rational, evidence-supported opinions. It's something that the news agency, if they were truly interested in finding truth, would also have investigated. It's suspicious that they did not.
