I recall back when cons kept saying Obama was a divisive figure. Remember those days?

Poll: Majority of GOP agrees news media is 'enemy of the people'

A majority of Republicans said they believed the news media is "the enemy of the people" rather than "an important part of democracy" in a poll released Tuesday. The poll from Quinnipiac University showed 51% of GOP respondents identified with President Donald Trump's "enemy of the people" line -- a result that reflected an ongoing partisan breakdown on the validity of the press.

Tuesday's poll showed 36% of GOP respondents called the news media "an important part of democracy," a much smaller share than any other group listed out by Quinnipiac. Only 5% of Democrats and 24% of independents called the news media "the enemy of the people" compared to 91% of Democrats and 65% of independents who said it was "an important part of democracy."

It has become obvious that the GOP is the enemy of the people.

All you have to observe is who are the majority of Republicans today. The degenerates that elected Trump of course will swallow the talking points fed to them.

It's not enough for them to just say that the popular media, particularly cable news, are sensationalist polipop tripe? They actually think they're the enemy?

Of course they do. This has been the crutch of the far-right since the 1980s. As far-right radio, print, television, and now internet sites have proliferated, and as Republicans have won a majority of elections at all levels, the poor persecuted babies on the far right feel as though someone is holding them down and preventing them from getting their message out.

Majority of of GOP voters are literal fascists so this checks out.

What the poll, or at least the article since I have not read the poll itself, fails to give is context. Simple questions are not going to give that context.

:lamo:lamo:lamo:lamo:lamo

Is there anybody here actually idiot enough... and with the courage to own up to the idea that Trump labled the "media", and not specifically "fake news", as being the "Enemy of the People"?

Step right on up, sources and links required.

PS Trump is dead on correct in that assesdment.

What they should ask is how many democrats think that Trump is the enemy of the people. I would bet if they asked the number would be in the 90% range.

And along comes haymarket to prove my point

Then along comes deuce to spread the great liberal lie. Seriously, you should educate yourself on what a fascist is before you continue to post this sort of idiocy and make a (bigger) fool of yourself.

The only point you ever make is that you excuse and apologize for and in turn enable a mentally disturbed narcissist, racist and misogynist in destroying this nation.

I'd ask you to start a thread any time you don't feel like addressing the topic but then every post you make would be a thread starter.

That's unhinged even for you.

Thanks for saying it out loud, you're normally more careful than this, you enemy of liberty and democracy.

Do please be sure to cry to the mods about me making this my signature, as you always do the highlighting of your failures.

Just pointing out that the loony left thinks the exact same thing of about the right. And two posted strolled in and proved that very point. Do I think the news is the enemy of the people? No. Do I think Trump should come up with a new phrase? Yes. That said, the media has dishonestly cast Trump as an enemy of the people so in that respect, they have it coming.

The quote I remember was the one after the Helsinki summit where he labeled the "fake news" as the enemy of the people then later tweeted some of the MSM outlets as being the "fake news" to which he was referring. Based on that premise he's saying it's only Fox News that isn't; odd that they're not in this list and they're generally favorable. I'd like to see what Trump would say if they were more critical of him.

I LOVE IT. Never change that signature. It will live forever as the truth is seen again and again and again every time you post!!!!!!!!!!!
