CNN)Special counsel Robert Mueller has subpoenaed Randy Credico to testify before a grand jury next month, according to Credico's attorney.

Martin Stolar told CNN he received a subpoena Thursday and Credico intends to comply and testify on September 7.

Credico, a comedian and radio show host, will likely meet with Mueller's team for a voluntary interview first. Credico previously declined a request from Mueller's team for a voluntary interview.

Roger Stone claimed Credico was his back channel to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange during the 2016 campaign.

Muller's intention to subpoena Mr. Credico was leaked yesterday, and by this just released news it would seem to have been a credible leak.

There are some interesting facets to this:

1] Credico refused to go before Mueller voluntarily.
2] Roger Stone claims that Credico was the conduit between himself & Julian Assange.

Like so many things in the Mueller investigation, this has the possibility to be a big thing if there indeed was the big 'C' going-on between the Trump campaign and Wiki-Leaks. It's also worth knowing this is another close confidant of Stone to be interviewed or subpoena'd, seemingly tightening a noose around Stone (who said he's "prepared" to be indicted).

It's merely conjecture, but if there was collusion I would put my money on Stone being the coordinator as much as anyone else.

Robert Mueller doesn't say much, but he sure knows how to say "Sit down, shut up, take a number and wait your turn...or don't, but either way I don't care what you have to say, and you will march to my tune and not the other way round." To wit, perhaps the most noteworthy thing to observe from the subpoena is that it's got Credico scheduled to testify on September 7[SUP]th[/SUP].....So much for the investigation wrapping up by September 1[SUP]st[/SUP], hugh, Rudy. So, I guess we now know that Rudy is not defining Mueller's timelines, schedules, priorities, etc.

Red:
Let's get a few details right, please:
  1. Mueller's intention to subpoena Credico wasn't leaked. The fact that Mueller did indeed subpoena Credico was disclosed by Martin Stolar, who is Credico's attorney.
  2. The fact of Credico's having been by the grand jury subpoenaed wasn't leaked. Credico's attorney shared that information, but more importantly, who is and isn't subpoenaed is publicly available information.

    From the rubric article:
Martin Stolar told CNN he received a subpoena Thursday and Credico intends to comply and testify on September 7

For future consideration:
A Subpoena is issued, served and filed under the authority of a pending Court action and Case Number. Consequently, a Subpoena that is issued, served and filed under the authority of a pending Court action and Case Number is typically a matter of public record. In general, if a digital copy of such a Subpoena is not available for download through the website of the pending Court action and Case Number, then a hard copy of same would have to be obtained via the Clerk of the Court through which the Subpoena was issued, served and filed.

On occasion, a Subpoena may be issued, served and filed by the authority of a pending Court action and Case Number, but under seal. When a Subpoena is issued, served and filed under seal, then only the existence of the Subpoena is a matter of public record. The content and recipient of the Subpoena, under seal, may be restricted from public disclosure and review. (Source)

I also just added the similar Andrew Miller thread, FYI.

Concerning this thread, I think Roger Stone's communications with Wki-Leaks may turn-out to be serious for him. Whether it leads further, remains to be seen.

At this point in time, we see a plethora of Russian contact by Trump associates. Are these incidents connected? Possibly not. But the shear number, and the constant propensity to lie about them, have to give one pause.
