Bob Woodward to detail 'harrowing life' inside Trump White House in new book

I find it interesting that there are people that cannot comprehend someone writing an honest assessment and honestly including interviews that they dont agree with.

People do it all the time.

It's a reflection on those that cannot comprehend that they they themselves are incapable of it, so they dont believe others are.

Maybe he's feeling that rush from the Nixon days, trying to get it again with Trump.

Do any legal beagles here know whether or not Mueller is allowed to get POTUS's tax returns?

IIRC he can and no doubt had them a long time ago.

Just because someone doesn't suck Trumps dick doesn't mean that their reporting is faulty, or that their writing is illegitimate. I'm 18 posts in to this thread and have seen claims of a hit piece and the like with no evidence provided. I'm not saying it's uncommon, espeacially on these forums, but when you critique everything that disagrees with your guy before you even know what it is, simply because it might speak poorly of your guy, then you have left reality and joined a no-freethinking zone where the only thing that matters is talking points.

If Woodward had a history of making stuff up, or unfairly critiquing Trump, then I'd understand your concerns. But what you seem to be saying here is "he's writing something mean about trump, so I must discredit it before I even know what it is!"

That's a very sad look in my opinion. BTW, I'm not saying that this is unique to you or that I'm free of this same critique. I've caught myself numerous times disregarding something because of where it came from only to realize later that maybe they made a very good point, or maybe that they were wrong about some stuff but right about others.

Woodward has a long history of getting facts and such for all his books.

Woodward isn't exactly a White House insider for this administration but he is a recognizable figure. I'm kind of surprised that they didn't hold off publication until closer to the midterms. If you're going to do a political hit job it really should be done closer to the election

Who has a better sense of political timing?- Arizona backwoodsman Lutherf, or 46-year Washington DC beltway trenches veteran Bob Woodward.

I'm sure he can depend on the leftist party controlled media to talk about it day after day. They treated Wolff's book as though it was a transcript of events, and it turned out to be total trash. Of course, if Woodward doesn't absolutely trash Trump, he'll be called a nut.

the gal who was on CNN early this morn said in 'The Art of the deal',Trumps states the " the ultimate power is Fear."

And your thoughts on the release date?

I wonder why The Donald doesn't have a Republican journalist or anyone else that *wouldnt be biased against him* chronicling his life in the WH?

He could be preparing his own story to have put out there at the same time.

Wonder why he's not? Shouldnt interfere with his work at all. He could do a few fewer tweets and substitute some interviews instead.

Perhaps that is what he thought Micheal Wolff's book would be...….:lamo

I mean who better to chronicle the life of the POTUS that someone who takes says a little truth and makes up a lot of crap.

Perhaps because turning the Trump White House into something approaching a book which does not reflect negatively or poorly on its subject does not require the services of an author. It requires the skills of a magician.
