Trump says he misspoke on Russia meddling following Putin meeting

He handwrote on his pre-typed statement "THERE WAS NO COLUSION". He can't even spell collusion...

The crux of all of this is that Donald Trump deeply believes that the US intelligence community reached its meddling conclusion exclusively to delegitmize his 2016 election victory.

Trump is a conspiracist, and nothing is going to change his CT mind about the meddling aspect of the 2016 election.

Except it's not your house. It's an entire country. 300+ million people that you are making decisions for.

This is mindblowing. If anyone really believes that the one comment was a mistake then it makes that entire press conference a ****ing pandora's box of "what the **** are you thinking?" If you believe it wasn't a mistake then the press conference was "Why are you sucking Putin's dick and trashing our country?"

It doesn't make it any better, just worse in a different way. But as we all should know, this wasn't a mistake. He knows Putin ordered and knew about the entire thing and he is actively lying for him. Period end of discussion.

How likely is that Trump, with Putin standing beside him, would say he had "no reason to believe" Putin was telling the truth?

Very not likely. Fudge it, yes. But that, definitely not.

Misspoke my ass. Trump couldn’t have anymore clear. He needs to watch a video of himself making the same claim in different ways.

Pathological lying apparently isn’t one of Trump’s Washington Swamp Draining tasks. He’s taking it to a higher level.

And to make matters worse, Republicans in Washington have now shifted was little criticisms that they had for Trump to Russia as though it exonerates Trump.

The truth isn’t in Trump and it isn’t in Washington on either sides of the isle. How much longer will the American people, whether they be Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, or Independents allow our self-will-run-riot political parties and government lie their way out of accountability? I realize Trump supporters don’t care how much Trump lies, but I hope like Hell everybody else does.

Trump didn’t turn out to be the political messiah that he claimed to be. He’s just another Bernie Madoff.

Interesting. He clarified his first statement on Air Force 1, and again during his interview with Hannity. But only now do we learn that it was Opposite Day when he made his initial statements defending Putin against our country.

I don't believe anybody in this country is stupid enough to buy that explanation, and anybody who does accept it is knowingly and willingly complicit in defending Trump when they know they shouldn't be.

Watching his walkback on the Helsinki statement - his emphasis is on one word yet the whole aura of his Helsinki comments is of Russian innocence and the sound of American govt agencies being thrown under the bus.
