Trump and Putin summit underway in Helsinki

Trump: "There was no collusion at all"
President Trump insisted again today that there was no collusion and that he ran a "clean campaign."

"There was no collusion at all. Everybody knows it," Trump said.

He said special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US election has had a "negative impact" on the US-Russia relationship.

"It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous what's going on with the probe," Trump said.

The President said he also discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin that there was "zero collusion."

I'm sure Trump and Putin talked about how there was "zero collusion", whether there is or not has yet to be seen, but why would either of them claim there was any amount of collusion between them?

Putin just said that Russia DID NOT interfere in the election.

Putin just said that Trump did NOT request any extradition.

Putin also said that the Russians could interview the officers in question and Mueller may have a representative in the room during the questioning.

And in return for this he has legal issues with the Clinton campaign that he wants Trump to look into in the same manner.

Gee wiz, isn't it great that all this is now behind us?
 
Trump just said he would not state his belief in the conclusions of his own intelligence agencies over the denial of Putin.

I wonder if Putin gave Trump the courtesy of a reach around when he was having his way with him?

Putin just declared that Russia is a democratic country and attacked George Soros and Hillary Clinton.

Putin was asked about the peepee tape.
He refused to say they did not have comprising material on Trump - simply attacking the very concept that Russia gathers such material on visitors in the first place and denied even knowing that Trump was in Russia.
 
I think a particular political wing is actually jealous that their guy who was POTUS last didn't do this with one of our enemies (Russia), and, potentially, try to make peace with them. Say what you want about Trump, but he's actually trying to do it, like what he's doing with another country (North Korea). "BUT THE ALLEGATIONS, THE ALLEGATIONS!!! TRUMP SHOULDN'T BE HAVING THIS MEETING BECAUSE RUSSIAN COLLUSION, OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, AND MORE SCOOPS OF ICE CREAM IN HIS ICE CREAM CONE!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" There was the confirmed report of Obama giving billions to Iran as ransom and for their nuclear program (so they can vaporize half the earth) and negotiated the "Iran Nuclear Deal", but no one on the Left wants to talk about that. Seems like a double standard to me.
 
John Brennen just called Trump a Traitor and said he was in Putins pocket and committed high crimes and misdemeanors.

He challenged the GOP to rise to the occasion and act.

I can’t even detail my level of disgust. How is this man allowed to remain POTUS after that is beyond me.
