The Justice Department announced indictments in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election against 12 Russian nationals and accused of them of engaging in a "sustained effort to hack into the computer networks" of the DCCC, the DNC and "the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton and release that information on the internet under the names DCLeaks and Guccifer 2.0 and through another entity."[/I]

It appears that 12 Russian agents (employees of the GRU) have been indicted for conspiracy in connection with the hack of the DNC. Of course, they will not likely be brought to trial, but it frames the crime. There will likely be "unnamed Americans" that can be enjoined later, similar to the February indictments. I also expect mention that this this "indictment does not extend to".... which, of course, some will interpret as exoneration when it is not.
The Mueller probe needed some tangible progress. The timing is most interesting as Trump will not be able to get away with "I asked Putin about it and he said he didn't do it." Maybe that meeting will not be as easy as NATO after all.
Rosenstein news conference is now going.
